GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body. Where there has been crushed vertebrae, there, to be sure, is paralysis where pressure remains on the nerves, and such exists here.
-
If we will add these, for the betterment of the conditions, we may eventually bring about the ability of the body for strength to handle self, though still hindered somewhat:
-
Use gentle massage, not severe, but gentle massage, along the spine in the areas where the injuries were, with Cocoa Butter. About once a week, change this to equal portions of Tincture of Myrrh and Olive Oil. Heat the oil to add the Myrrh. Thoroughly massage, not severely, but gently.
-
Also we would add the Radio-Active Appliance. Keep the attachment plates very clean. Polish these with emery paper each time before they are attached to the body, and each time when taken off. Be sure to attach the same anode first each time, that is, attached to the right wrist the first day. Attach the other anode to the opposite extremity. Place the Appliance in ice for at least 20 minutes before it is attached to the body. Keep this on for one hour each day. There will be little or no feeling except as the body uses this period for meditation.
-
To do this read and analyze self’s own application of Exodus 19:5, and Deuteronomy the whole of Chapter 30. Then the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of St. John. If these are learned, not merely as something to say, but as that applying to thee, ye will see in the beginning the references by the Father, God, making the promises to thee, and that thine body is a channel, yea, the temple of the living God, and that He, Father-God, may make it whole, in and through the promises made by Him through Whom ye, as every other soul, may come closer to the knowledge and then walk closer with God. For as He promises, if ye open the door of thy consciousness, He, the Christ and the Father, will come and abide with thee. This will bring help far beyond that which may be attained by material hands, for ye seek, ye must seek the city whose foundations are of Him.
-
We are through.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 3/27/50 Questionnaire sent to mother. No reply. A.R.E. files have no record of a Radio-Active Appliance ordered from A. M. Godfrey.
R2. 11/29/50 Miss K. E. N.’s letter: “I am writing to you in behalf of a family who has been very close to my family for more years than I can recall. In this family there is a boy 29 years of age, who for the past 7 years has been failing in health. He was an ardent college youth, active in all sports and civic and social activities. During football practice one day, his back was injured, but soon after he got over it, and thought nothing more of it until some time later, when his eyes started giving him trouble.
His parents took him to various doctors, but they couldn’t find anything wrong with him. I might mention that his family do not suffer from financial responsibilities, and therefore would bar no expense in contacting any possible help for their son. After his eyes started bothering him, he began to get weak and his muscles seemed to be weakening. This weakening started in his legs, and he was having trouble walking. It seemed to be creeping gradually and slowly upward. Every doctor that saw him said it was not creeping paralysis, but could not definitely tell what it really was. From then on this weakening of the joints continued until now he has great difficulty in raising himself from a lying position without help, as his arms are also weakening. He cannot stand at all. He loves the ocean, and with great anxiety and slow difficulty with the aid of a strong, husky boy who comes to help, he is lifted from his chair or bed to a sand wheel chair and pulled out on the beach to the ocean. Once in the water, he seems to become supple, and has been able to manipulate himself quite well. But then when he is pulled out of the water, he becomes a limp, uncontrolled body.
Throughout these many confined years, this boy has broadened his mind, not so much by reading, as he cannot, but by listening to others read to and for him, and by keeping up with sports and current events over the radio. His mind has not thus far been affected. My reason for writing to you about this boy’s case is that although I did not know Mr. Cayce personally, I do know of his great work, and I believe sincerely that he was given a greater power than anyone knows or can appreciate, and I am in hopes that there might be some kind of little encouragement from your files or some new suggestion that has not been tried. All the information I have given may not be just exactly right, so if any more information or other facts of his case are needed, his parents will be more than eager to furnish. They live…”
R3. 12/50 Miss K. E. N.’s verbal report submitted to GD: “I sent a copy of my letter of 11/29/50 to the mother of [5047]. In her reply, she explained that she had gotten a reading for her son ‘quite a few years ago’, but that it was too complicated to follow. Also that she had received the questionnaire, but had misplaced it.”
R4. 10/6/52 No record of verbal or written contact on this case since 12/50.
Background
Background
B1. 4/19/44 Mother’s letter: “When I called last October, you gave me an appointment for May 1st. I expected to be back home long before this, but travel reservations have been hard to secure. Could you mail me the form to fill out which I will return immediately and will let you know whether or when I am leaving Florida. I expect to be in …, Va. by the 1st. If this is too much trouble, please let me know. I could send the blank to you and will let you know whether I will be in Fla., or …, Va. at that time. We will spend the summer at Virginia Beach, arriving some time the latter part of May, if you would like to change my appointment…”
B2. 4/21/44 GD’s letter: “I sent an application blank to the mother with the following notation: Advise information you wish on your son’s condition; also questions you may have. Give us the exact address of your son at the time of reading. Please have him remain quiet and in a prayerful attitude during the specified hour. You may have spoken with Mr. Cayce on the telephone, as we have no record of any previous correspondence or of a visit at this office, and therefore do not know your particular problem.”
B3. 4/28/44 Mother’s letter: “Thanks for the application. We will be at the …, Va. address May 1, and will follow instructions. I told you of my son’s accident when I saw you in October. He was injured playing football - broken bones in his back are healed, but his eyes are still affected. Has cloudy vision which glasses do not help. His balance is also quite bad at times. With best wishes…
P.S. (1) What is causing present condition? (2) What can be done to alleviate it?”
[Note: GD’s letter of 4/21/44 was written in EC’s name. Therefore the mother’s reply of 4/28/44 was addressed to EC. Apparently, neither GD nor EC remembered the mother’s visit or the details she referred to. There is no record of such visit or conversation in A.R.E. files. IMG.]
