This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of February, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [505].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [505] - this we have had before. We find the general conditions are responding to the administration of those vibratory forces set in system, as well as the manipulative forces that allow a better coordination. True, we have times and periods - or portions of days - when the dizziness and pains in the liver area gives distress; also some trembling and dizziness in head, as swimming in head; yet the use of the Radium Appliance, that will equalize the vibrations of system - and the manipulations kept as at present - these we would make a little deeper in the liver area, and when there have been at least two or more applications for the liver area for its activity, we would gradually - not too severely - osteopathically EMPTY the gall bladder! This may produce some nausea, but it will prevent the re-occurrence of those disorders in the area and assist in the drainages being nearer equalized in the system. These we would do, and the only changes we would make - that at least two, then, of those applications for the liver area be repeated; these given at least every OTHER day - that is, at least allow one day to elapse between the treatments. Then, when the system has responded to this, we would gradually - in the manipulations - taking or requiring five to six such treatments - gradually EMPTYING the gall bladder. Would this be [if this would be] attempted in too sudden a manner there might be INJURY to same, from the inflammation that has existed there - see?

2. Keep the appliance at least six hours out of the day. In the evenings it will be found well for a while to lay same across the liver area. CHARGE same at least once each day, for three to ten minutes, in STRONG light - or two to five minutes in sunlight. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) What is condition of liver? (A) It is on the improve. As has been indicated, there have been discharges from the gall bladder area itself, and some of the congestion that has existed there is broken up; yet this needs to be balanced better. Hence those applications for same, see? the [Castor] [or olive oil & myrrh massage?] oil packs, see?

4. (Q) What is condition of gall bladder? (A) As indicated, this is better - but after the reaction again must gradually be emptied.

5. (Q) What is condition in general? (A) Very much on the improve!

6. (Q) Are two osteopathic treatments a week sufficient? (A) Sufficient, in the present conditions. We are through for the present.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

As one of the old timers, I know you will be shocked and grieved when you read the enclosed notice, Mr. Cayce. We didn’t have the heart to send this to you without a personal note.

You know these Pads have been a hobby with me now for over 14 years and I cannot conceive of going on without this work, but there is nothing to do now but - “CARRY ON.”

I would like to go into detail about this matter - tell you about the seance in Washington, but I feel I would say too much. The whole thing makes my blood boil - it is so absolutely unfair and unjust that it makes me see RED and I rather imagine it will get under your skin, too.

Now if I were you, Mr. Cayce, I would certainly lay in a stock of the Pads at this nominal price - it is an opportunity you cannot let slip through your fingers. You know so well the real merit of this Radium Treatment that I am satisfied you would be placing a number of the Pads through your institution.

Of course, we anticipate hearing from you before we close our doors. And we want to tell you before we wind up this note, Mr. Cayce, that we certainly appreciate this missionary work you have done on behalf of the Pad - the good will you have spread for the firm. Money cannot PAY for THAT sort of thing as YOU know so well.

P.S… Of course, there will be some one here in the office for some little time yet to take care of all commissions that fall due later on - payments on accounts, envelope orders, refunds, etc.

OFFICIAL NOTICE

Here’s some bad news and plenty of it. We are forced to close out our business on April 12th by the Post Office Department. In all our 14 years of business with the public they have not one case against us where we have not lived up to our statements and agreements. But the American Medical Association has been after us all these years, and at last we are forced from the field. They claim self-medication is dangerous, etc. They claim that our Pads can not possibly do what you and I know they do.

Now we can supply you with Pads from out stock while they last up to and including April 12th at a cash price of $10 - no trial guarantee. You can sell these just as you are doing now - either personally or using the mails to send literature or Pads up to April 12th. But after that date you must positively discontinue using the mails to send literature or Pads.

However, after that date you can deliver literature or Pads personally or by express. It will be lawful to do this as the post office ruling affects the Postal Department only.

If you have any commissions due you, they will be paid even after that date, also we will make refunds on returned Pads until all Pads are cleared.

Here is a good chance for you to make some real profits by buying as many Pads as you think you can sell.

Be sure and get your order in before April 12th - otherwise we cannot fill your order.

R2. 4/16/31 Miss [505]‘s letter: “I have now had the tr. you prescribed for me, massaging of the gall bladder and also the oil and myrrh. Dr. Grace C. Berger would like to know if she is to continue this tr. or change it. I want to let you know that it has greatly benefited me. On May 7th I expect to sail to Europe, returning in Oct., and I would like to know very much if there is anything special I am to do in the meantime. Enclosed please find check for the rdg.”
