This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [5062], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here [5062].

3. As we find, we have had this body before. There has not been a thorough application nor the warnings taken which were indicated as to sources, causes, assistances and those things necessary for helpful conditions. We would either accept or reject information through these channels. Then do them or do not do any of them, else you will have greater disturbances than already exists. For as has been indicated, these are far-reaching; they are deep. It requires the spiritual attitude, as well as the mental stamina to put confidence or faith in some measure, and not try to do all and it doing all, do none.

5. (Q) Was the lung condition which hospitalized me another manifestation of eczema, mentioned in my first reading? (A) As has been already indicated, all of these are a part of conditions prenatal and the activities are all combined, the lung condition, the pelvic disturbance, all of these are parts of the same weaknesses. There has been indicated as to how each of these had best be handled.

6. (Q) Why am I so sensitive to touch? (A) Read what has been given. It would indicate that most of this arises through the real soul-self. There’s nothing more touchy.

7. (Q) Is the redness and rash of vagina in reality eczema? (A) As has been indicated, it is part of the same disturbance. There has been indicated ways and measures and manners to do to relieve disturbance. Accept it or reject it.

8. (Q) Should there be any change in treatments? (A) Haven’t begun them yet. There’s only been part and there’s been adding other conditions.

R4. 9/7/50 Reply to questionnaire-letter: “Thanks for the interest shown in my case. I really am in better condition both physical and mental now, than I have been for years. I believe that my trouble was only karmic - it just took time for it. I never got any relief from any of the things I tried from the readings, and I do mean they were carried out to the letter. It just took time. I tried the treatments for 8 months, or so, but ended up worse, so just quit, them. Thank you again.”

B2. 7/7/44 Sister’s letter: “I am writing you from my sister’s room, Mrs. [5062] who is ill with pneumonia virus. I suggested to her that you would be interested to know how she reacted to the treatment outlined by a reading 4/21/44. According to the reading, she has a bad case of eczema which began during her prenatal days. The treatment suggested in the reading consisted of a low caloried diet, excluding all fats, oils or cold-resistant foods. She followed all treatments and the diet very faithfully and felt better for a time, then her weight went down until she had lost 10 lbs. Recently she caught a cold, and a doctor she went to over a year ago found, when he examined her yesterday, that she had pneumonia of the virus type. X-rays are being developed of the chest, but x-rays made 2 weeks ago registered negative. A Check Reading was to be made a little later. Could it be given soon, to determine where we have erred in her treatment? Personally I think there might have been an error somewhere when all foods that would maintain the body’s functioning are left out. Anyhow, since I was responsible for having the reading, I’d like for you to give your own, opinion. Please let us hear from you.”

B3. 7/17/44 Sister’s letter: “Thank you so very much for your prompt reply to my letter of July 7… Perhaps a Check Reading at this time will be more beneficial than one in October as suggested in the reading given on 4/21/44. The lung condition seems cleared up and she is home again at the above address and will be there for the Check Reading you have granted her for 7/21… We have talked long distance this morning and agree that the following questions are uppermost in mind: (1) Her doctor calls the redness and rash of vagina a name that sounds like ‘Ammelia’; is this in reality eczema? (2) He is using Tacto Jelly which has stopped the bleeding of the cervix, but we wonder if Streptolin would be more beneficial for an all around medicine. This is a rather new medicine put out by Landon of California. (3) Shall we try Streptolin? (4) Should she have continued with the diet after returning from the hospital? (5) Are there any changes suggested for diet, massage, short wave, or medicine?” [The additional questions submitted are at end of 5062-1.]
