GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes. As we find, there are disturbances that are gradually growing more and more aggravating, in the physical and mental disturbance to the body. But the analysis of the conditions as being that of an impinged nerve, as we find, is not correct. However, there are pressures on nerves, but these arise from the conditions that exist in the form of adhesions and of disturbance through the alimentary canal, and especially in that area about the caecum and the ascending colon.
-
As we find, if there would be the application in the mornings of Glyco-Thymoline Packs for at least one hour, then in the evening Castor Oil Packs, the condition will be aided. The Castor Oil Packs should be for at least one hour. Both of these Packs should have heat applied. Follow the Castor Oil Packs by massage to correct the adhesions, or break these up; also have corrections in the brachial centers and points of shoulder blades. Between the Packs and the massage (the Castor Oil Packs especially), give at least for fifteen to twenty minutes, treatments with the short-wave on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th dorsals, then the massage.
-
Keep the eliminations good; take small doses of Olive Oil pretty regularly.
-
We would take these Packs at least every other day, but make it so there will be both the absorption of the alkalizers and the relaxing of the nerves and muscles of the areas.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is this causing the constant pain in the right arm? (A) As has just been indicated.
-
(Q) Although my teeth seem to be in good condition, could they be partly the source of trouble? (A) The teeth are in good condition. It would be very well to take foods to supplement, especially foods from which the body may assimilate larger quantities of calcium, such as fish, chicken especially prepared in a way where the bones may be eaten. The feet and neck of the chicken are worth a lot more than the breast, although the breast is more palatable. Chewing the bones will be worth more to the body in strengthening and in the eliminations. These should be broiled or stewed, but do keep the lid on so that the boiling will not carry off that which is best to be taken.
-
(Q) Should the massage be given by an osteopath? (A) Not necessarily, but a good masseuse or neuropath. Do that and we will find better conditions. Operations are going to cause more trouble.
-
We are through for the present.
Two copies to Self (one for the masseuse or neuropath who gives the massage and short-wave treatment - Please let us have the name and address of the one you choose.) Copy to Ass’n file ” for indexing
(See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Castor Oil Packs and Glyco-Thymoline Packs.)
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/14/45 Letter: “Just a little over a year ago, you gave me a reading on a physical disturbance that has been giving me such trouble. Rather than go into detail here, it would perhaps be easier for you to check your files to learn the particulars… Although this diagnosis is contrary to anything I have been told by leading physicians, I have faith in it and the remedy. However, the difficulty is in finding someone who is capable of, or willing to follow this course. My business has been at a point where it demands all my attention, and even though I have been in constant and increasing pain, I have not been able to look far afield for someone to give me relief. I have tried here in the … area without success. I am wondering if it would be possible to have another reading to locate an osteopath or neuropath who is in this vicinity who would be able to help me. If no one can be found, could the course of treatment be undertaken there at your hospital? I would readily come if there was some chance that I might be given relief. I would appreciate an early answer, and anything you can do for me.”
R2. 5/23/45 Letter: “We refer you to the following 5 doctors in the Los Angeles area…” GD.
R3. 2/11/48 Second class test mailing. Whereabouts unknown.
R4. 8/21/52 No record of verbal or written contact on this case since 5/14/45.

B1. 9/6/43 Letter: “After reading the article in the current ‘Coronet’ of the work you are doing, I thought you could help me. For the past 9 months, I have had a constant pain in my right arm from the elbow down into my fingers. I have been to doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths and all of them, but not one, has been able to give me a minute’s relief. One doctor diagnosed it as an irritated ulnar nerve, but could not suggest a cure. In the meantime the muscles in my right shoulder and arm are slowly contracting from the never-ending pain. If you can give me a reading that would prescribe some course of treatment, you don’t know what it would mean to me. Enclosed is check…”
B2. 4/6/44 Letter: “In answer, finally, to your letter of December 6: The reason I have delayed writing is that I wanted to be sure of the address at which I would be on the date you gave me for a reading. This, according to your letter, is May 8, 1944, which is 7:30 to 8:30 our time. This is to be a Physical Reading, and here are my questions: (1) Is the diagnosis of the doctors correct, that of a pinched ulnar nerve? (2) Is this same condition causing my headaches, pains in my other arm and legs, and a sense of general rundown feeling? (3) The doctors suggest surgery; is there any other means of curing this agitation? (4) Would surgery be successful? I think the above covers my situation, and would like to add that I shall be extremely grateful for any help given. I have been in constant pain for over a year, and it is daily growing worse. Some of the best doctors in Los Angeles have been unable to help. Only one could make the diagnosis of a pinched nerve. I will be at my home …, Calif. at the hour you have given me for this reading.” [The additional questions submitted are at end of 5069-1.]
