This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of May, 1944, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [5099], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., via article in “Coronet” magazine.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions as I ask them:

2. EC: Hmm - just off the thoroughfare. Yes, as we find conditions here are rather serious, for a portion of the activity of the organs of the central nerve and blood supply, and that which purifies the system from the impurities especially of uric acid, is involved.

3. There is a softening of the kidneys until there is only about forty-seven percent activity. This tends to form a dropsical or phlebitis condition, or a swelling of the limbs and the lack of the use of the lower limbs.

4. This, with the upsetting which has gradually come with those administrations to keep this down, and with the transfusion which has been given to cause sufficient numbers of the red blood and leucocyte activity, causes great weaknesses for the body.

5. We would not change those administrations that have been made, save under the direction of a physician we would give the homeopathic properties which will aid, little white pills, called cimex lectularius. These administered with the others when the conditions warrant will keep better conditions for the body.

6. As for cures - no - the spiritual forces are the greater hopes in the body.

7. Adhere to those suggestions which have been parts of the administrations as to activities, as well as to the diets. These we would do.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) What foods? (A) These have been indicated for the body by those who have made the administrations. These are best to adhere to. Do add those properties indicated, and do keep the mental attitude towards spiritual things. For all healing must come from the mental attitude of the body.

B1. 10/15/43 Letter: “In the September issue of ‘Coronet’ I read an article entitled ‘The Miracle Man of Virginia Beach’. At the time of this reading I was confined in the … Clinic Hospital with acute nephritis. I will give you a brief history of my case. Last May 18, I noticed that my feet and lower limbs were swollen. I consulted an M.D., and he ordered me to the hospital. Treatment, diet, medication and rest. I returned home after 3 weeks to continue resting but steadily became worse. After being home for 4 weeks, my doctor sent me to the … Clinic Hospital here. In addition to the former treatments, I received 9 blood transfusions. I remained here one month and during this time I had my weight reduced 50 lbs. After being home for 5 weeks, I returned to the hospital for more of the previous treatments. At present I am home and under the doctor’s care. I still have a lot of swelling after 5 months treatment. I have a family and would like to get back to work…”

B2. 4/25/44 Letter: “Illness started 5/18/43; symptoms, water logged tissue in feet and legs, also loss of albumin. Diagnosis: acute nephritis. I entered hospital 5/18 and was discharged 6/9. Treatment: rest, high protein diet, low salt, no medication. Lab. tests and X-ray showed kidney injury. Home until 7/7, during which time my weight increased from 190 to 224 lbs. Doctor ordered me to … Clinic Hospital. Medication: potassium tablets and Lilly Lextran (?) liver vitamin. Treatment: Blood and plasma transfusions, vitamin hypodermic and high protein, low salt diet. I was in the hospital from 7/7 to 8/7, during which time my weight was reduced from 224 lbs. to 174 lbs. I was home until 9/17. Medication and diet continued. I returned to hospital Sept. 17, weight 191 lbs., returning home 10/1, weight 186 lbs. Transfusions, medications and diet continued.

“I remained home until 11/10, when I returned to same hospital with increased weight, same treatment and diet, also some dead teeth removed. Added medication, Upjohn vitamin, thyroid tablets and Aminoid (?) protein. I returned home 12/7, continuing medical treatment and diet at home. I re-entered hospital 1/5/44, weight 200 lbs. Same treatment continued until 1/26, when I returned home, weight 184 lbs. Since this time I have been home with same treatment and diet. After being home 2 weeks, my weight decreased to 171 lbs. At this time, I had an attack of bronchial flu with much fever; after 2 weeks of this, my weight was 150 lbs. Most of edema left my lower limbs at this time. I now weigh 169 lbs., with some of the fluid returning. I am very weak in my knees and legs, very difficult for me to climb steps. I hope this history will meet your requirements. P.S. Still same loss of albumin.”

(1) How can I build up my blood and stop loss of albumin? (2) How much are my kidneys injured? (3) What food and treatment will eliminate edema still in my body. (4) What must I do to overcome weakness in lower limbs?
