1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes. In interpreting the records here of this entity, we find the applications of the abilities of the entity in the conditions which the entity is never quite sure of. For, if there would be the greater understanding and the greater amassing of abilities of the entity, these should be directed in a creative energy, yes, as is the experience of the entity, but in those things that have to do with things rather than people.

3. To be sure, these things are to have effect upon the people, but it must be from things rather than people, if the greater success or the manifestation of the greater abilities of this particular entity would be experienced.

4. In the astrological urges, we find Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, all as a part of the experience.

5. Beware in travel, especially over water, else there may be those experiences which may not enable the entity to complete its full experience in the earth in the present.

6. In those things which have to do with decorations of office, home or public places are the special type of experience in the activity in which the entity may contribute the greater measure, not only of comfort, but of practical applying of nature, and things which have to do with the emotions of peoples to do, and for such places to become a stimuli for good works that would cause individuals to become fearful of desecrating the same.

7. Urges astrologically indicate that changes may be wrought rather suddenly, yet those activities which have to do with things rather than peoples should be the outlet for the entity.

8. To be sure, it is associated in the present with those things which deal with people, but things rather than people may be the more easily handled by the entity. For as will be seen in the urges latent and manifest in the experience of the entity in the earth’s plane:

9. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity; that is, near its birthplace in the present. The entity found the experiences in which it might contribute to the helpful forces in state, in nations. Thus the scientific relationships of the individuals to various problems that are of the economic and political views are interesting and yet the greater abilities may be made manifest in the preparations wherein individuals may spend greater part of their time, and thus the environs making for that impression upon the mind that an individual entity becomes that which it sees and holds in its inner consciousness. In the experience the entity was known as Mary Carey.

10. Before that we find the entity was in those activities in what is now known as the English land, when there had been the destruction of some of the activities in the places of high resort.

11. The entity was in the name then Isabella Goodman, aiding or assisting in the redecoration of the house of the King as well as the offices of some of those in high authority.

12. Thus those measures to which the entity may use such abilities in directions as to contribute to the welfare of many become a part of the experience of the entity.

13. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian land when there were those activities of the peoples in the “city of the hills and the plains” and the entity was among those in authority who made it possible for many of those natives to become associated and active with the principles, teachings and tenets of the priest, Uhjltd, in the experience.

14. Thus the needs for spiritualizing ideals and for the trust wholly in the influences which are deep within of creative forces for activities.

15. Before that we find the entity was in the Holy Land during those periods when there were those enterings in, and Joshua dividing the land.

16. The entity was among those of the seven daughters who came to proclaim the birthright of their fathers because of the lack of men in that particular portion of the family. The entity was then in the name Archah. The entity was the chief spokesman, and is a good speaker, a good writer.

17. As to the abilities of the entity, then, in the present, that to which it may attain and how:

18. In whatever service which has to do with things may the entity succeed the greater. Especially as in interior decorating the entity would make a universal success.

20. (Q) What potent methods can be drafted to interest the right people in carrying out these instructions? (A) The first important people is self. For ye must be sold on self as to the present activities in the scientific. These are well for others, but not the best for this body.

21. (Q) For what purpose were Y. O. U. and I brought together? (A) As ye were active in other experiences, as in the Holy Land, as in the experience in the English land, then used, even as ye did there, for the benefit of others in controlling their emotions.

22. (Q) What can be done specifically by the American people to bring about a speedy, lasting peace? (A) We haven’t the American people. The thing is to start with yourself. Unless you can bring about within yourself that which you would have in the nation or in any particular land, don’t offer it to others.

R1. 6/13/44 Letter: “Thank you for your reading. Just as soon as possible, I will send my remittance. Now and then I talk with Mrs. [2441] and Mrs. [2520]. We are all good distances apart, and it makes communication difficult. Then, like everyone else, we are all terribly pushed for time. I trust something will come of the reading. No doubt you are in the midst of a busy summer. I trust it will be successful.”

B1. 9/43 Mrs. [2441]‘s letter: ”…If you get a reading cancelled, would you try to give one to Mrs. [5101] of Pa… She is rather discouraged and wonders if you could help her to find her rightful place… Strange to think that when I first knew of you, I told Mrs. [5101] about you, and now when you have so many readings ahead, she feels that you could help her. I believe it is the reaction from reading the article in ‘Coronet’.

B2. 10/8/43 Mrs. [5101] wrote: ”…Last night I had the pleasure of riding home in the street car with Mrs. [2520]. She asked if I would like to read ‘There Is A River’. As a result, I have the book tonight, and have already started it. I am sure I shall find it most worth while. Mrs. [2441] who used to teach my son in our … School, called me a few days ago and said she had written to you concerning me. For a great many years, I have known that I have psychic powers, and have therefore read along that line. Somehow, from Mrs. [2441] I had failed to get your exceeding greatness, and did not have it brought home to me until that day (a day or so before I wrote you), when by a process of elimination, I chose ‘Coronet’ as the magazine to purchase and keep me entertained until class time. All summer I have been taking a course in personnel management at the University…

“After 15 years of married life, with 3 children (ages 15, 19 and 6 years respectively), I find it necessary to make a greater part of the living myself for them and my mother. I have a number of talents some of them well developed, others not. Please tell me what course to pursue to find my most suited sphere in life, and the place where I can best serve to help myself, my children, my mother and humanity at large. Since writing to you (I have been out of employment since 6/12) I have secured a very fine position with the … Company. The salary is not as large as I should have. I have a very fine radio talent. Do you see anything in that field for me? I also can read people’s thoughts - those both near and far. What use can I make of this?… I will certainly be grateful if you will help me find myself. The $20. I do not have at present, but as soon as I do, it will be a pleasure to send it…”

B3. 11/43 Letter: “Let me take this opportunity to say that I have finished reading your book, a long while ago, and have turned it over to a friend of mine to read… You do very definitely have something that comes once in a lifetime. I wondered as I read it, if it might not have been wise for you to have studied medicine. It no doubt would have come easy to you, and with the subconscious ability you have, it might have been a wonderful combination. Have you ever thought of that? No doubt you have. I shall await with interest an opportunity for you to assist me; for as I wrote, I have many talents, some developed and some not so well. And since I do have 3 children, I hope to get into the field that will not only bring me happiness, but income as well. When you come to my questions, I wish you would add this one close to the top of the list, so that you will be able to get it in this reading, for I feel His presence with me always. Will Y. O. Y. play a definite, important, wholesome and upright place in my life? You will have to excuse these commas that I keep hitting under the question marks, for down here at the … shipyard, I have been given a man’s job with no typing, and I am not too familiar with the typewriter… Sometime when your secretary is not too swamped with work, have her take time to write me a few of the most interesting books on the mind, and how it works, for me to read. I have been interested in this field for a long time. It simply fascinates me…”

B4. 4/21/44 Letter: “As the time for my reading draws near, allow me to make a few requests below to be reckoned with: (1) What is the best field of service for me to enter in order to do the most for myself, my family and humanity? (2) What potent methods can be drafted to interest the right people in carrying out Mr. Cayce’s orders? [Additional questions at end of 5101-1.] When you send my wire confirming my appointment, Mr. Cayce, please say something like this: ‘Is it alright for us to proceed as planned?’ - or something similar; I will answer accordingly. I just do not want the ‘nebby’ people down here at the shipyard to intrude… I trust the reading will be an enlightening one, and will be the means of helping me to focus my fine ability in the right direction to have the finest and best for myself, family and others. And I sincerely hope that at that time something tangible concerning drawing the right people into your fold will come forth… Do take care of yourself and keep the ‘faith’, cognizant of the fact that with divinity all things are possible.”
