This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of June, 1944, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [5104], new associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Born April 5, 1906 in New York City, New York. Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. Eastern War Time. New York, N.Y.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records of that entity now called [5104].

3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them, there is much to be considered, but these we choose from same with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling it to better fulfill those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.

4. As indicated from the latent and manifested urges, the entity is very capable in many directions and thus at times feels it is entirely in the wrong field of activity. For things of a mechanical nature oft appeal to the entity. Hence the entity is, when it chooses to be, excellent at home and he can be very contrary when he chooses to indulge his own witicisms.

5. As we find, then, there are the needs that the entity analyze itself, its purposes, its ideals and determine what it is that the entity desires to do with its abilities. The present activities may be very well, provided there is the determination to work towards the activity as a detective or the plain clothesman or the one to hunt out news, to hunt information. These are well as the activities, and the entity can bring itself to be content. Never be satisfied, but in whatever field of endeavor or activity which is chosen, do make self or so engage self as to be content.

6. Know, as you analyze yourself, these are unalterable truths: God is, and to Him first you owe all allegiance. Or you work with or against that divine within. Not that ye separate God and become as a servant, but as the Master so oft indicated “I and the Father are one, I am thy brother, ye are co-creators with God. Be ye holy, even as your Father in heaven is holy.”

7. Such indicates, then, to self that ye are in whatever service you choose and this has been indicated because of the period of service and that which may come. This is very well, but be thee best in force, be thee one considering not how much trouble you can get others into, but as ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them. Be, through thy administration of mercy and justice, as ye would have thy Maker give, be the best there is in the force; using, not abusing, the privileges which are thine. These ye do and ye will find thy service as a servant of the people, for the people. You can make this district, thy activities, a better place for others to live.

8. It is true that there is a great deal of vice, of sin, of shortcomings, yes, but remember as was said to the saints of old: “God’s mercy is everlasting.” Ye need not be the preacher, ye can be the minister of God’s purposes with man. He has put up with man a long time. Can you put up with him for a few short years? For as ye do it to the least of thy brethren ye do it to thy Maker. It’s an honorable position, honorable job ye are in and lose not the material gains that time has given thee, to be sure; but as a hobby do study the chemical processes, electrical compositions, as a hobby, and you will find use for same in thy analysis of peoples, as ye become a plain clothesman, a detective, or a news-gatherer for the force, or in those positions where ye may serve thy fellow man the better.

9. As to the appearances in the earth, not all are given, but these that ye may know the pattern which has been run.

10. Before this we find the entity was in the land when there were those who were being gotten together for the Columbus expedition. Ye were a seafaring individual of power, of weight, of balance, of the studies, in the name then Emanuel Esparadazo.

11. In the experience ye gained, ye lost, ye gained. Those set purposes which are parts of thine experience in the present arise from those periods there, the activities afterward brought to thee a better understanding of others and of self.

12. Before that we find that the entity was in those days when there were the activities in the earth preceding the Master’s walk in the earth.

13. The entity was then among those who were set in authority by the Romans, and among those who heard the ministry of John, also the ministry of Jesus when there were those warnings as to what each should do.

14. As was given to thee then, require not more than the law of the rule demands. Be faithful to the charges given thee, to God first, then to thy fellow man.

15. The name then was Nicoli.

16. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, the entity was among those who set in motion the activities from the Persians.

17. For the entity then was one set in authority to make for better associations with the leader in the “city in the hills and the plains.”

18. And there the entity learned of those activities in hospitals, or the caring for the indigent, the sick, the aged, the ill. These became of particular interest, but the entity applied mechanical abilities, and thus the interest especially which may be manifested in the chemistry of electronics, or of such things. Study them as the hobby, not as the principal activities.

19. The name then was Sudow.

20. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land in those activities wherein there was the presenting of people for definite purposes, and the entity was an emissary among the people sent to other lands.

21. The entity was sent to the southern portion of Egypt, or to the hill land.

22. Thus the abilities of the entity, as has been indicated, to be active as a succor, an aid to the fellow man, one upon whom the fellow man may depend.

23. Be true to those offices, following in those undertakings indicated, and we will bring the better conditions for the experiences in this material sojourn.

25. (Q) Would it be advisable to sell the one family house in which I live alone? (A) It would be advisable if used for its hobby and its applications.

26. (Q) Where would it be advisable for me to spend my 3-weeks vacation which begins in June? (A) This should be the choice of the self. But in the mountains would be better, where it may study itself, analyze itself.

27. (Q) Should I join the Navy or Army? (A) Not unless there are extra calls for same.

28. We are through for the present.

R1. 6/10/44 GD’s letter: “We are cancelling your Mental-Spiritual Reading scheduled for 6/14/44. It is advisable to analyze your Life Reading first. At a later date, the Mental-Spiritual Reading would be much more beneficial, clarifying any questions which may arise. Therefore, we are arranging your Mental-Spiritual appointment for 4/2/45 A.M., EWT. It is important that you advise us exactly where you will be on the morning of that date. If you have any questions for that reading, please submit them.”

R2. 6/19/44 Letter: “I did not receive copy of my Life Reading of 6/10/44, or of my Mental-Spiritual Reading on 6/14/44. I received today Bulletin 6/14, #9, in which you state appointments are missed because details must be in 2 weeks ahead. In my instructions, it says a few days. I sent letter a few days ahead. Hope I did not miss my date, as I am eagerly awaiting same. In my letter, I report on results of Physical Reading. I will send a full report when I complete first series of treatments. Please let me know if I missed appointment and the new date for readings.”
