1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, just stirring. We have the body here [5111].

3. As we find, there are disorders which are gradually growing more and more disturbing to the body. For the lesions in the areas of the 6th and 7th dorsals make hindrances, more and more, in the activity of the lacteal duct, in the lower portion or in the left side and lower portion of the jejunum. As these cause more and more lesions to form, or adhesions, greater and greater become the headaches and nausea and the weakness that comes with this, causing greater and greater pressures upon both the sympathetic nervous system and (is beginning to make pressures upon) the organs of elimination, the kidneys and bladder.

4. As we find, we would use these alternately: that is, one day use Castor Oil packs over the abdomen, sufficiently large to cover the area of the lower portion of the liver, and extend to the caecum and to the lower portion of the left side also. Make the Packs out of three or four thicknesses of flannel and saturate with Castor Oil, and when this is applied over the portions indicated, use the electric pad. Have a good size electric pad, not just a small one. Keep this on for at least one hour.

5. The next day apply Glyco-Thymoline, not Castor Oil, and use cotton cloths instead of the flannel. Apply over the same areas as the Castor Oil Packs.

6. After this has been given for an hour, do have a gentle massage. Sponge off first with tepid soda water. Use about a teaspoonful of baking soda in a quart of tepid water and sponge off the area covered with the oil. Then massage with cocoa butter. This massage should be gentle but deep.

7. After these have been taken, two Castor Oil Packs and two Glyco-Thymoline Packs, have a high colonic irrigation scientifically given.

8. Rest from these for two weeks, then repeat, and also have another colonic irrigation.

9. Though this has been long-standing, the second series should eliminate the sources. This may reoccur, but one of the series should eliminate sources. After each of these Packs, if it is necessary, give the massage to the body.

10. It would be well during the second series of packs to have osteopathic manipulations. These should not be adjustments, but relaxing treatments, from the 1st cervical to the end of the coccyx, using the extremities as levers in the exercise of the abdominal areas, stretching the arms up, pulling the limbs and holding up and twisting out.

11. These will aid.

12. Do that.

R1. 10/20/44 Letter: “I hope you don’t think I have been ungrateful for the reading, but I have had an awful time getting someone to do the treatments for me, but finally did get them finished about a week ago. This summer, I went to … to work and while there, I tried several osteopaths, but either they refused altogether or else they wanted to give me their treatments. Finally, after having tried several here in …, I did find a lady, Dr. W. I. N. [Winters, Vera, D.O.], who helped me with them. She didn’t give me the packs, these I had to give myself, but she gave me the massages and colonics. I have still not been free a single day from headaches, however, so I would like to have a check reading. I do believe sincerely - that I can be helped by you. Either I had to wait too long perhaps, or maybe something she did was not right. Please, may I arrange for another reading to see what the difficulty is? If I don’t get helped this winter, I shall not give up, but I’ll come to Virginia Beach this spring and stay until I am well…”

B2. 9/10/43 Letter: “I read the article about you in ‘Coronet’ for this month, and couldn’t resist writing to you… For 15 years I have had severe headaches which doctors diagnose as migraine. They said there is no cure for them, so I struggle from day to day with the pain. Gynergin, hypodermically taken, stops them until another return, but I can take only so much of the drug, or gynergin poisoning will result. At the end of every school day, I’m wretched with one or I awake in the morning with one. Since I am a teacher, the headaches make me increasingly nervous and depressed. Sometimes I think I can’t go on. Yet I have to, because my parents need my financial aid…”

B3. 1/3/44 Letter: ”…These headaches have increased until I am frantic with them, and the drug I have to take to stop them is dangerous if too much is taken… Won’t you please help me?… I’ve prayed and prayed about these headaches and I try to live right…but because they are so much worse, I know you can help me…”

B4. 1/23/44 Letter: ”…My need is urgent, both from a physical standpoint and mental… I am simply holding down my job and hanging on because I must. These headaches have plagued me for years. I have been to Mayo’s and to all parts of the country. Most doctors have diagnosed them as migraine and said they did not know the cause and could recommend no cure. Now, however, they are occurring every day, usually waking me from sleep at night and they are so severe that only hypodermics can stop them, and I am so weary when I arise it is torture to go on through. Also my digestive system is upset, pain has appeared in my right side, and I can do nothing but grit my teeth and pray to get through each day. The last doctor suggests gall bladder trouble which may cause an operation. Mr. Cayce, I have my parents to support partially. I must work; I’m steadily going into debt from doctor bills. I cannot read, go to a movie, go to any entertainment without bringing on one of these headaches. I weep at the slightest provocation, and my nerves are jumpy from weariness and pain. I can’t wait long to be helped, because I am afraid of going to pieces completely… I want to enjoy life and everything in it, but it’s an effort just to stay alive… Perhaps my prayers will be answered through you…”

B5. 3/44 Letter: “For 13 years I have had terrific headaches which aspirin or any common headache remedy would not alleviate. Each year they have grown steadily worse in intensity, and more frequent, until now I have one every day, sometimes only 18 or 20 hours apart. Gynergin, taken hypodermically, is the only drug that will stop them. The pain is intense, forming over either eye, causing the back of the neck to stiffen. Recently they have been accompanied by severe leg-ache. They bother me most frequently at night, waking me from sleep, although they will come at any time of the day, as well. All these years I have tried everything, been to Mayo’s, and all doctors said they’re migraine and can’t be cured because they don’t know the cause. For this reading, I shall stay at home…”

B6. 5/7/44 Friend’s letter: “Since [5111] is ill, I am writing this letter for her. Friday she started Histamine treatments for her headaches, and they have made her very ill. The following are the questions she would like asked for her reading May 15: (1) What is the cause and remedy for these headaches? (2) What is the cause and remedy for her painful menstrual periods? (3) What is the cause and remedy for any other difficulty she may have?…”
