GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find that the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.
-
EC: As we find, there are real disturbances here with this body. There has been for some time the tubercular effects in the throat, bronchi, lungs and congestions through the soft tissue of the antrum and sinus areas. Unless they are changed, there may be more serious complications. To be sure, there has been some help with the administrations which have been given. Yet too oft these have not been able to do other than transpose or to push, as it were, in circulation, in infectious force to and through the lymph activity.
-
As we find, we would first prepare an inhalant as this:
Oil of Eucalyptus…1/2 ounce, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…1/4 ounce, Rectified Oil of Turp…20 drops.
-
Put a teaspoonful of this either in a croup cup or in an open cup, in boiling water, so that the fumes may be inhaled by the body; not as a spray, nor as oil drops in the nostril or in the sinus or antrum, but in the room or under a canopy or cover, so that the body may inhale not only through the nostril, but through the mouth, yes, even the body, in that the very fumes of same may be absorbed, the principles and activities that will act as antiseptics and as creative forces for the retarding of this infection.
-
Then prepare also a gallon and a half to two gallon charred oak keg in which to carry the fumes from apply brandy. Prepare vents in one end, putting in same at least a gallon more, but not too much, leaving space so that there can be evaporation by the keg being close to the heat. Not so much that it is to be put on heat but where evaporation may take place. Only the fumes from this evaporation are to be inhaled into the throat and lungs, in the bronchi. These are to act as the destructive forces and will, if these are used regularly two or three times a day and take two or three deep inhalations, relieve the conditions. Keep the keg corked so that the gas does not escape. Do have a tube so that there may be the effectiveness in the inhaling of the fumes and a vent so that in inhaling the body does not draw against a vacuum. Then keep sealed or corked daily when not in use.
-
Do prepare also Calcios for adding calcium to the system, so that it may be absorbed by the body. There should be taken just the quantity which may be spread on a whole wheat wafer, at least every other day.
-
Three times a week take Acigest, a teaspoonful in a glass of raw milk. This is preferably taken in the evening, at the evening meal.
-
Do these and be consistent, not to keep in too much sunshine but in the open air where there is more oxygen, and if the body is at times in the room where the ultra-violet is burned it would be well. Not that this should be so much on the body, but if this will be used, do project the green glass between same and the body, but it is the ozone which is needed as much as the rays.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is it well to continue in the health building course I have been taking? (A) This is rather strenuous. A little bit later when there is better strength and vitality. In the diet keep oft beef juice, liver, liver extract, fish and fowl and lamb, but no fried foods. A great deal of fruit in their proper season and raw vegetables. Mix these with gelatin oft.
-
(Q) What should be done about my heart? (It flutters and sickens me at times.) (A) This is too much strain and why it is advised not to be too strenuous with the exercise.
-
(Q) What climate is best for me? (A) Where you are is very good. So that there is kept high altitude for the activities.
-
(Q) What should be done for falling hair? (A) Better let the hair fall than to have some other thing which are part of the experience. But using a good shampoo with tar soap, and then occasionally massaging into the scalp White Vaseline, will be effective. Occasionally the use, once a month, of such as crude oil is very good. Cleanse this from the hair and scalp with a very small quantity of grain alcohol and lots of water, just enough alcohol to cut it, not enough to make the hair itself brittle, then using Vaseline following same.
-
We are through with this reading.

Background
Background
B1. 3/8/44 Letter: “Please send me a reading regarding my health, also regarding my occupation. All my life I have been a dismal failure. I know you are the only person in the world that can help me. I have complete faith in your wonderful work. These are the two questions I would like to ask: (1) Is it well to continue in the health building course I am taking from Charles Atlas of New York City? (2) Will I ever marry […] of the … the girl I am so fond of?… Incidently, this is the way I happened to learn about you. One day last week, as I was leaving for work in the afternoon, downhearted as I was, I picked up a little book. I distinctly remember saying to myself, ‘There may be something in this book that will change my whole life.’ I felt something had to happen because I could stand it not much longer. The book turned out to be the September ‘Coronet’…”
B2. 3/20/44 Letter: ”…Please note the physical reading in question is somewhat an emergency. A day before I was to leave for the hospital to have an operation of the sinuses, I learned about your work. Since the particular operation seemed absurd, as the doctor wanted to operate in the middle of nose, but my trouble is on the sides, in the sinus cavities, it being so precarious and expensive, I should like to have your help. Other than this outrageous sinus trouble, my body is affected by tuberculosis. I shall be very glad and thankful if you will help me…”
B3. 5/18/44 Letter: ”…I shall be in the … Hotel … I have picked a hotel room for the occasions, being that I shall likely be undisturbed during the period set aside for my Physical Reading… (1) What shall I do to become normal in weight? May the God of our hearts bless you. P.S. During a review of the little booklet ‘Physical Readings’, I found the statement: “But while the larger consciousness has your body in focus, it is also possible of you to ask about other conditions…’ which made me wish to ask: (2) What might I do about my heart? It flutters and sickens me at times. Also, (3) What shall I do about my hair? It is falling.”
B4. 5/21/44 Letter: ”…I have finished reading ‘There Is A River’…the portion of the book which deals with reincarnation and karma is indeed in collaboration with the Teaching of Theosophy. I happen to be a member of the United Lodge of Theosophists.”
