This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of June, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [5168], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we find there are disturbing conditions with this body. These have come from, first, an injury to the coccyx end of the spine. As time has gone on, there has come to be periods when the areas in the ileum plexus and the sacral-ileac plexus are in distress. These have gradually formed dissociations of reflexes between cerebrospinal and sympathetic nervous systems. These cause periods when there are improper reflexes from the sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve system.

3. The organs of the sensory system at times become involved. At times it may be said, or others say, the body imagines things; and yet they are very real to this body.

4. As we find, if there would be first the gradual correction of the segments in the coccyx and the sacral-ileac, these will soon reflect a better association.

5. Also we would use the Radio-Active Appliance as a coordinator or to build coordination in portions of the body, as in the extremities. This would be attached to the right wrist, left ankle; left wrist, right ankle. And don’t mix up the plates. Use the one attached first to always attach first to the body. This is to be prepared in the water and ice for twenty minutes before it is to be attached to the body. This may be kept on for an hour each day, for two days each week.

6. After this treatment we would have each time the gentle massage, and we’ll get better results, we’ll have better results, we’ll have better coordination, we’ll feel better in all the reflexes of the body.

8. (Q) Is a surgical corset necessary? (A) Not necessary, if these are done as indicated.

9. (Q) Would a change of climate help my condition? (A) Climatic conditions have little to do with this. This is more of conditions in the segments.

B3. 3/4/44 Letter: ”…I shall be glad to comply with your instructions as to prayer and meditation… Because of X-Rays and other tests which show no cause or physical symptoms of arthritis (my complaint is severe pains in all muscles and joints, no swelling or redness ever), at least 75% of the doctors diagnosed my case as a neurosis. Is it or is it not an obscure form of arthritis? Tho all of my joints ache continuously, the severest and most trying pain is in the sacrum where the right ileum joins it. This region has been x-rayed a number of times with negative results. Can there be some structural or nervous defect that x-ray does not reveal; if so, what should be done to remedy it? Will a change of climate help the arthritis, also the chronic sinus and bronchitis from which I suffer?”

B4. 5/29/44 Letter: ”…Of course, I am primarily interested in the diagnosis and treatment of my ailment. The sacro-iliac joint is very easily thrown out of place, and it always aches like a severe toothache, yet x-rays show absolutely nothing. (1) Is there a hidden defect which the x-ray cannot reveal? (2) Is a surgical corset necessary? (3) Doctors have disagreed in the diagnosis of my condition, one calling it a neurosis, another a breakdown of the autonomic nervous system, and a few an obscure form of rheumatism. What really is it?…”
