Protestant) This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of May, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [5174], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5174].

3. As we find, there are disturbances and a great deal of weakness caused by the disturbance through the circulation through the alimentary canal.

4. These, as we find, in the main are the effects of flu and we have through the colon and the alimentary canal, conditions which cause a great deal of mucous. These come also in such pressures as to cause a bad cough at times. These reflexly cause disturbance through the kidney area and the prostates at times, or there is trouble when there is the attempt to empty the bladder. All of these are reflex conditions from this after-effect of flu.

5. The irregularity in the heart’s activity, the weakness when the body attempts to walk long periods or is on the feet long periods; these are the results.

6. Then we would first begin with this: Take about twice each day six drops of Glyco-Thymoline in half a glass of water. These properties take for about five days.

7. Then have a good, scientifically given, high colonic irrigation. Then we would have a compound prepared in this manner:

8. Take Wild Ginseng and make a fusion of same, using two ounces of the Fusion of Wild Ginseng, also one-quarter ounce of Wild Ginger. These we would add together with one-half ounce of grain alcohol, with two ounces of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin. This would be taken about one-half teaspoonful in the morning and evening.

9. We would add, to the body-strengthening, KalDak as a general building up of the body, with this taken in milk for this body. Dissolve in a very small quantity, or about two tablespoonfuls of hot water and then fill it with whole milk, in a tumbler.

10. Do these and we will bring better conditions for this body.

12. (Q) Should I, when recovered enough, consider going back east to work, or get a transfer to some Navy Yard here in the west? (A) We would get a transfer.

13. (Q) Is there a possibility that I may go back to work and live again free from the feeling of dependency? (A) We wouldn’t give the suggestions here, but if you’ll keep the mental attitude creative, not condemning, not blaming anyone for these disturbances and the other conditions which arise, you will find the attitude will be much better and conditions much improved for the body.

We are living on money given us by my sister and her husband now, but my husband has a job waiting for him in N.J. if he gets well enough to work again. My husband has T.B., and also suffers from a stomach ailment of years’ standing.”

B3. 11/14/43 Wife’s letter: ”…Last year my husband was retired from his work; however, he was promised reinstatement when his health returned… The doctor had told me he would never be able to work again… Together we took our problem to our Heavenly Father… When we read the article about you, we felt we had been guided and that you were our help… My husband has suffered so much these past few months with an old stomach ailment, he is losing ground and strength. I am afraid 6 months or even 2 months may be too late to be of any good here on this earth. We were most sincere in seeking you and have absolute faith, but a delay we are afraid of…”

B4. 5/44 Wife’s letter: ”…My husband has never had symptoms like afternoon fevers or night sweats that he should have had with tuberculosis. He has lost flesh and strength and coughs some and unable to work. In bed most of the time. (1) What is the cause of these stomach spells? (2) He really suffers sometimes for 3 or 4 days at a time. They really seem to do more towards keeping him down. Five years ago he had his appendix removed, but that brought only temporary relief. After 3 months, he was having the pains again. (3) Do you see a chance that my husband may soon go back to work, and we can live our lives again free from the feeling of dependency?… May you be given the power to show us where we can overcome this…”
