-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at present; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, she’s coming in now from the toilet.
-
Yes, we have the body here, [5198].
-
As we find, there has become, through the general activity, a deficiency in the hormones in the blood (which are of the male hormones) and this has caused in the cellular forces of the body those tendencies for accumulation in the glandular areas.
-
The lymph accumulation in small nobules makes pressure, as through the abdomen, as through the mammary glands and portions of the breast, as also through a rash or a swelling under the skin that causes irritation in portions of the body.
-
As we would find here, there should be, under the direction of such a one as Dr. Babcock of Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Penna, an injection once or twice of these hormones and then with the pellets of the hormones that he may give, we should find these general conditions disappearing.
-
Do that.
-
Don’t put this off until cellular force breaks in some portion of the body or through some part of the alimentary canal. For these are forming and then gradually disappear, but these are the lackings, and once or twice of these injections, and then the vital energies for the vitamins as will be administered, will bring better reactions and prevent serious conditions later for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) How can I get rid of bad breath? (A) By making for better conditions in eliminations. Take Glyco-Thymoline as an intestinal antiseptic. Two, three times a day. Put six drops of Glyco-Thymoline in the water. This is a throwing off into the lung, into the body-forces, poisons from this changing in cellular activity, or through the body, of lymph forces that become fecal.
-
(Q) Is the matter of diet important for me? (A) These will be outlined by Babcock. These should include a great deal of foods rich in vitamins; as raw foods and prepared with gelatin often.
-
(Q) Is there any tendency toward arthritis? (A) It can be something much worse.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 12/28/44 Letter: “Today I wish to give in detail a report on the results obtained from following the recommendations of my Physical Reading [5198-1]:
“It is difficult to describe the feeling of elation and gratefulness I had when I received this most accurate diagnosis of my condition. My main trouble at the time was the great sensitiveness in my breasts, with occasional small hard lumps in that area; a large rash on my right elbow, which would disappear at times for a few days only to reappear constantly; and slight arthritic pains in elbows and knees. The reading suggesting my getting in touch with Dr. Babcock of Temple Hospital, Phila., Pa., I did so, and arranged for an appointment on June 22. While I could not get a definite statement from Dr. Babcock, he seemed to agree with the findings of the reading and called my attention to the fact that there probably was a direct relation between the breast pains and the monthly period. On subsequent observation, I found this to be correct, that is, the pain decreased or disappeared during the period and reappeared thereafter. Dr. Babcock gave me one hormone injection, prescribed pills to be taken daily after dinner, and asked me to report to him by letter after 2 or 3 weeks. After about 3 weeks, on July 11, I could report to him as follows:
At the moment, the sensitive areas in my breasts have entirely disappeared. The ‘vague’ pains of arthritis in my elbows, too, are almost entirely gone. The big rash, which appeared so frequently on the arm inside of my right elbow, has not shown itself since a few days before my visit to your office on June 22. I kept a daily record of my ‘bodily disorders’ since that date and am enclosing a copy of it herewith, which will give you a more detailed picture. You will note that a few days before the monthly period, the sensitiveness in my breasts increased considerably, reaching a very painful height the day before and the first day of the period. The most peculiar thing I noted was the appearance of the brownish-reddish spots on my body, which now seem gradually to fade… (copy of the daily record mentioned above is enclosed* herewith for your files).
Dr. Babcock replied that the report ‘is gratifying to me as it must be to you. Evidently the hormonal deficiency in your body has been supplied, and as a result you are in what we might term ‘hormonal balance’ at the present time. I would suggest that after the 15th of the month you discontinue all treatment, to determine if your metabolism has not now become sufficiently normal so that it may be not necessary for you to use additional medication.’ Since that time, improvement has been steadily more noticeable. Although the breast pains appeared again, they have decreased from month to month, and during the month of October I was ENTIRELY free from them, although the following month there was a slight reappearance.
I think that perhaps a 2nd injection will clear up that condition completely and Dr. Babcock has offered to supply the formula so that my local physician can administer the same.
Not since June 1944, NOT ONCE, has the big, ugly rash appeared on my elbow - it seems like a miracle - and the arthritic pains in knees and elbows are gone, too. I cannot express my gratitude for the opportunity to have had this Reading. It was an experience good not only for the body, but also great for the mind. The recommendation to use Glyco-Thymoline as an intestinal antiseptic and a help to get rid of bad breath is excellent. I found it most helpful, indeed. If you would like to have any further information, please let me know.”

(Monthly period from 6/30 - to 7/5)”
R2. 10/18/49 Reply of Dr. Babcock to questionnaire: “Provisional and final diagnosis: Estrin deficiency following oophorectomy. Patient seen only once 6/22/44. Patient reported improvement 3 months later, and then relapse, for which she was referred to her local physician for renewal of treatment.”
R3. 1/13/50 Comment by E.C.F. solicitor: “Mrs. [5198] was sorry she could not make a larger donation, but is giving much help to friends in Europe.”
R4. 1/22/52 Questionnaire sent. No reply.
R5. 4/2/52 Notation by IMG: “Mrs. [5198] maintained A.R.E. membership through 1948. No record of verbal or written contact on this case since 1/13/50.”
R6. 4/9/76 Report by A.R.E. member: ”…I have had some problem with halitosis, probably because my teeth are not in real good condition and probably because I am a very heavy smoker. At any rate, I read the file several times and after studying its contents, I started using the six drops of Glyco-Thymoline, twice a day in a glass of water. I have noticed a definite and marked improvement in my breath. Before, I frequently had bad breath even right after vigorous teeth brushing. It is improved now, pleasantly so…”

Background
B1. Born 8/6/05 in Germany; resides in New York; married; no children; religion not indicated.
B2. 8/2/43 Letter: “Will you please be good enough and let me know whether I can obtain a Physical and Life Reading. I am convinced it would be helpful to me in many respects. My husband [5199] also, would like to have Physical and Life Readings.”
B3. 8/22/43 Letter: ”…While ours are not emergency cases, there seems to be something basically wrong in the system, and we would greatly appreciate to have these readings at the earliest possible moment. About myself, I might say that for 2 or 3 months I have had some very sensitive and painful spots in my right breast which sometimes form into hard lumps, and although I have been assured by a good chiropractor that it is not cancer, I would like to know what it is, and how to keep myself in good health…”
B4. 5/23/44 Questions submitted in addition to those at end of 5198-1: “(1) In spite of a good diet, I am afflicted with extremely bad breath. (2) On the arm, inside of my right elbow, always in the same area, a sort of rash periodically develops. It is very unsightly and itches. What is the cause of it? (3) I often have very painful areas especially in my right breast, and to a lesser degree in my left one. They sometimes develop little hard lumps and are sensitive to the slightest touch. What is it?”
