1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here: [5206], and those conditions physical, mental and spiritual which surround this body.

3. There are, to be sure, pathological disturbances, yet conditions are such here that the greater help may be brought by just being patient, just being kind and loving to the entity, and more of the interpreting in the life of the entity by those about the entity, as well as to the entity, the life of, the purpose of the coming of the Son of God into the material world and of how and why He had a purpose in the earth, and in the personal or present application as to how His advent, His ministry and His departure from the earth has its effect in and through the life of this entity.

4. That in its full and complete sense will aid the entity much more than all the administrations of medicinal, electrical or what have you. For the body is one of those who is meeting its own self in the physical expression in the present. There has been, and is yet to be, a great deal of suffering physically to be experienced by the body. For the inability for the body to use or control its voluntary muscular forces, as in the locomotories of the body, has brought and does bring a great deal of discouragement to the body.

5. We would find that, in the administrations, gentleness and kindness will be the better.

6. For pathological applications: Just keep the body quiet, give it a gentle massage every day. Do be careful about its diet, that there are those things that agree with the body; and do give a great deal of prayer, and it should be with those who are close to the entity.

8. (Q) What caused this third attack of pneumonia? (A) All of these are pathological conditions from lack of activity of the central nervous system which supplies energies so that lungs, heart, liver and kidneys are so involved and these at various times are indicated by the reflex conditions: as poor eliminations, the inability of the assimilations, and the activities of these through the body.

These, as we find, are then as indicated. The massages will be more helpful, more quiet; a very low form of electrical forces, as the short wave, breaking up colds and congestions, but not too fast. Once in 2 weeks would be sufficient for these, but the massages daily.

9. (Q) Where is all the mucous coming from that we have such difficulty getting him to vomit up, and what can we do to overcome it? (A) Throat, lungs and through the digestive system. Read those things which have been indicated.

10. (Q) Is our doctor doing everything possible? (A) Doing very well.

B3. 2/17/44 EC’s letter: “I have yours of the 5th enclosing the application for membership and the request for a Physical Reading for your son… Be sure to give us the exact address at which he will be…”

B4. 6/2/44 Questions submitted in addition to those at end of 5206-1: “My son and I will both be at home… His condition is somewhat changed since first writing you, as he had pneumonia followed by bronchitis. (1) What can be done to prevent a recurrence? (2) Is the heart, liver or kidneys diseased? (3) Previous to this last attack of pneumonia, he had circulatory attacks, when he all but passed on. The last one was in February. How can we prevent recurrences? (4) Will anything take the place of the nembutal and codeine he is getting? (5) Is the diathermy machine helping him? (6) The doctor says all we can do is keep him comfortable; that it is just a matter of time. Is this true? (7) Are we justified in the confidence we have in his nurse? (8) What can we do to overcome the erections of the male organ at night? (9) What can we do about the very sore throat he has after vomiting spells? (10) What does the passing of yellow fluid via the bowels mean? (11) Is the distension of his abdomen a sign of anything serious? (12) If there is anything you can tell me that I haven’t asked for, I would appreciate it. As you know, he is what is called a spastic and has never walked but has lived as normal a life as possible until 4 years ago. The medical profession has never given us much help and now they have none to offer. Thanking you and hopefully awaiting the reading…”
