GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development of the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain and how. You will answer the questions as I ask them.
-
EC: What a beautiful grandmother! Yes, we have the records here of that entity now called [5256].
-
In giving the interpretations of the records we find that possibilities and probabilities are very beautiful for this entity. There are latent characteristics that only need be accentuated, that the entity may make a very interesting and very worthwhile contribution to its own environments, as well as having a great influence upon the lives of many.
-
Then, in giving this interpretation, we would magnify the virtues, minimize the faults. These are not minimized to such an extent that they may not be used constructively. That which is most needed in the combination of the application of the activity is for the entity to find self. Do apply in the life, art, music, do use these in thy experience. First, get song, music. Then do, through this period, take that not as to drive self, but that in which ye may contribute, not that you would make a howling success as a career, but the voice is good, the speaking voice is good. Trained, it can contribute to church, and to home, that which will be most helpful to many and keep the entity lovely and beautiful.
-
Do these and you will find it will bring into the association and relationships, when you find yourself and thy ideal, that ability to appreciate nature, appreciate the outdoors. Do take hold on those things as golf, riding, swimming, tennis and those things in which not only self, and the opposite sex, but those of its own sex become a part of the association and companionships in a more social manner. Not that these are to be to the extent that you forget your ideals and purposes. What are your ideals? What manner should be the relationships between a man of twenty-one to twenty-five and yourself in the present? What are the ideals? In physical relationships, in mental relationships and in spiritual relationships?
-
Know that ye are in the earth as an opportunity for self, for social unfoldment and in the relationships with thy companions of both thine own sex and the opposite sex you should not be merely an idealist, but so live, not necessarily what is called a puritanic life but so live that others, all others would wish to be like [5256]. That is an ideal manner of conduct.
-
What is required in this? In self knowing thine own ideals, spiritually, mentally, materially, not merely as “I think this should be it, I think that would be wonderful, that this or that” but write them down on paper and see what they look like. You’ll be surprised how oft you can change them from one day to another.
-
Then, knowing the ideal, practice it. Don’t have an ideal and then not practice it in thy daily activities.
-
As to the urges which are latent we find that Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are the greater urges. Thus, do have music and song. Do have art and literature as thy greater studies; as of decoration, designing wallpaper, designing arrangements on the lawn, in the garden, in a wooded lot. All of these bring to the mind of the entity preparations for building the character, building purposes within the experience, and this in itself will endear the entity to others, attract others to the entity. Not that the entity pushes in but so live, as given, that others wish to be just like [5256].
-
As to the appearances in the earth, all will not be given but these are indicated that there may be seen the pattern of the entity:
-
Before this we find the entity in the land of the present nativity during those periods of the early settlings in the land. The entity was then an Indian maiden who saw its ideal in its associations with other peoples who made friendships with same during the period of Clark and Rogers, in those areas of Connecticut.
-
Thus the entity with the instinct of the outdoors sought to know more of the learnings, the customs, the activities of those peoples about it, and learned and became a part of those experiences.
-
Thus we find an innate loneliness, an innate desire for companionship, that feeling that others are just a little bit better in their activities, that inferior something within self. But know, as has been given, if your ideal is set ye may so live as to be an example for many, and yet never be one of those who is so high and mighty as not to know that God is not a respecter of persons. He respects character, loveliness, kindness, patience, gentleness, brotherly love, and these manifestated in thy experience will make thee a lovely person. Just as it did in those experience when the entity was known as Tennee.
-
Before that we find the entity was in the Holy Land and the entity was among those who went, who gave self as a sacrifice for a cause and a purpose. There the entity found strength, just as in the experience in the present.
-
While persecutions brought to the entity, then as Ruth, a fear of loneliness, and if it could just be alone in the present, and from those experiences, this combination. What the entity promises it keeps, and it is naturally hard for the entity to tell a lie. Don’t practice it! For “what a fatal web ye weave when first ye practice to deceive.” [Quote from some author? Shakespeare? GD]
-
In that experience then the entity gained, though not in long periods of years. Yet in the individuality, while manifested in the entity’s personality then, shines a reserve.
-
Know in whom ye have believed, as ye did as Ruth, and know that He is able to keep that ye have committed unto Him against any experience which may arise in thy life.
-
So when ye are troubled as to that which seems false, as to disappointments, look to Him, who is the giver of all good and perfect gifts and know deep in thy soul that thy Savior, thy Lord will not withhold any good thing, physical, mental or spiritual from those who love His coming. Not afraid of His coming, love His coming - keep sweet!
-
Before that entity was in the Egyptian land during those periods when there were the establishings of homes and the entity was among those who were educated, who were prepared for the care of children, and thus made for the experience in which there was the preparation in the various homes as they began to be established, as to how both parents were to look after their own offspring who had been attended mostly by the state previously.
-
Deep, heartfelt affection is in the purpose and mind. The entity is easily hurt in such things and a cutting remark or a slight hurts deeply. All the more need then, that ye learn the way of the Lord. For it is perfect.
-
As to the abilities of the entity, then, as has been indicated, do learn to sing; the appreciation of art, music and of decoration, of interior decoration, outdoor decorations. In that the entity should have a great career, but if it is desirable the entity can use these periods, but by the time of the twenty-first year, the entity should begin to build its own home.
-
Beware of the Ides of March. Through these periods things, conditions, seem to be against the entity. Don’t become discouraged. Look within and trust to thy Maker. Ye will make a contribution worthy of acceptation, to thy community and to thy fellow man, if you do adhere.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) How can I get along better in my school work? (A) Just as has been indicated, in the analysis of self and what ye set as thy ideals, and study particularly those things pertaining to the activities in the land indicated.
-
(Q) Is there any person, quality or anything in life I should avoid? (A) Outline the experiences, as from that which has been indicated, and ye will find ye can build to that desired. Take thy time to be holy, take thy time to be gracious, take thy time to be patient, even with those who apparently would hurt you. Love the Lord and keep His precepts.
-
(Q) Should I go to college, if so where? (A) Not necessarily, but some good finishing school should be such as Sarah Lawrence in Bronxville.
-
(Q) How can I keep from giving the impression that I’m asleep or indolent? (A) Awaken to the possibilities within. You’re not indolent; you’re not lazy; you’re not asleep!
-
(Q) What is it that keeps me from having friendlier and closer relationships with teachers and friends, both boys and girls? (A) Just as has been indicated, study that which has been given, that loneliness, and the feeling ye have that there are others superior. There are none!
