This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of June, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [5273], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, she hasn’t got up yet. We have the body here, [5273].

3. As we find, there are disturbances which are preventing the better physical functioning of the body. These are rather a complication of disorders. There is an upsetting in the digestive system which causes many, or most, of the effects which are produced by the lack of proper digestion; causing through the alimentary canal and the general circulation a condition that may, unless there are changes brought about, tend to an arthritic nature.

4. These, though, are from an unbalancing of the chemical forces of the body, especially as to the quantity of the acids which should combine with the alkalinity of the body. Here we find a rare condition where there is a greater alkalinity in some portions and thus a greater acidity in other portions of the alimentary canal. Thus those disturbances which are indicated through the accumulations as calcium deposits, or crystallization of the conditions not eliminated, and these may be found in places or areas in the lymph circulation, as the nasal passages, at times in throat, in shoulder, the abdominal area close to the upper portion of the hips. All of these are areas which give a great deal of distress to the body.

5. These, as we find, are the sources, the causes of the disorders here. To make for better conditions for this body, first begin with a general eliminating activities of the body. This we would find through hydrotherapy treatments, preferably. The application of these should be a Fume Bath, not too much of the dry heat, but fume baths, using the Witchhazel in the fumes which are to cause perspiration for the body, the needle showers, the bubble bath, a thorough rubdown and gentle osteopathic relaxations in the lumbar centers particularly the lower dorsals and the upper dorsal and cervical areas

6. After the fume bath has been taken, we would use also colonic irrigations; about two of these, about ten days to two weeks apart.

7. We would begin after the clearing of the colon to take Acigest twice each week, a teaspoonful taken preferably at the evening meal in a glass of whole milk.

8. This done and keeping up the treatments after this at least once a week for about six weeks, we should find much bettered conditions throughout this body.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) Is this the cause of the frequent headaches? (A) It is the cause of the frequent headaches.

11. (Q) Is the calcium deposit still in my throat? (A) This comes and goes. Not nearly as much as has been at some other periods.

12. (Q) Is there any particular benefit for me in taking hot sweat baths at Indian Mineral Springs? (A) Rather the character of baths as have been indicated. A fume bath in light cabinet but very few lights on and the Fume Bath either prepared in a croup cup or as an open boiler; two teaspoonsful of Witchhazel in a quart of water. Then follow this with the needle shower, hot and cold water. Then the bubble bath, then the massage. The massage and the adjustments are osteopathic relaxing treatments, not so much adjustments.

13. (Q) Is the body allergic? (A) No, these are more from conditions created by the unbalancing in the alkalinity and acidity through the body, see? Do these things and keep a normal balance in the diet, plenty of raw vegetables, oft prepared with gelatin. Do these.
