This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [5314], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet Magazine.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5314].

3. As we find, there are a complication and combination of disturbances which cause the reactions indicated in this body. Yet these primarily arise from the disturbances in the digestive system and the lack of proper activities in and through the assimilating body.

4. Thus, we find, those conditions in the duodenum where there are those formations of gas, from lack of proper activity upon the gastric flows in the stomach itself. We find a swelling at times in the entry from the duodenum to the jejunum. This gives pain or a fullness which causes poor eliminations, poor assimilations and poor distributions of that assimilated.

5. The organs of elimination become involved through this character of circulation in the body. There are, of course, in cerebrospinal system, reflexes which indicate how these areas are affected by the impulses from the circulation and nerve energies.

6. These are the sources, the causes of the greater disturbances as we find through the body. As to whether these conditions in stomach and duodenum will become more of a disturbing factor depends upon how soon, or with what, the body is able to obtain relief, preventing these from becoming constitutional or segregated conditions in body, or those which will form a tumorous nature and break into more serious disorders.

7. We would begin first with hydrotherapy, combined with osteopathy, as a means of causing the eliminating or obtaining better coordination through the areas of the body, especially in coordination of lungs, heart, liver and kidneys with the digestive system. For, all at times will be found to be involved in the disturbance.

8. Fume baths to set up better eliminations, then colonics to purify the colon and through this purification cause bettered conditions in the circulation, in elimination and the relief of tensions in lumbar, 9th dorsal, brachial center and through the cervical areas.

9. Do that. We would suggest Dr. Dick.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Why can’t I get hold of myself? (A) Read just what has been indicated and we will find that all of these are inclined to war against the nature of the body itself, physical, mental, and spiritual, see? But this is physical you’re dealing with.
