This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 22nd day of May, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [532], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [532], present in this room; this we have had before.

2. As we find, the general physical conditions are much improved from that as we have had here before. There is a much better coordination between the eliminating and assimilating forces in the body, better reactions from the functionings of the glands and the coordination between gland functioning and system elimination.

3. While there are still some conditions that may be desired to be improvements in, much of that as we have given would be maintained; and others would be added, that there may be the keeping of an even balance and a setting up of the proper coordination in the varied activities in the body as revivification carries on in the functioning of organs, glands, and the general reaction of the body.

4. Then, we would continue with the properties of the Atomidine taken internally, in such measures as we have indicated, having periods when now there would be the gradual increase daily of the quantity taken - until the fifth to sixth day, and then the leaving off same and then beginning with the smaller quantity. Begin with three minims twice each day. Each day increase same two minims, you see, until the fifth day. Then leave off on the sixth day. Then begin again in the same way and manner, with the three minims.

5. We would also have the vibrations from the Radio-Active Appliance, that would make for a coordination through the activities; and aid in equalizing the drainages in the system so that - as the circulation and activity of the circulation is equalized - eliminations will be set up.

6. At least once or twice each week we would have the manipulations. These should be THOROUGH treatments and DEEP manipulation, with the adjustments in the 4th lumbar, in the 6th and 7th dorsal and throughout the cervical area - but the GENERAL treatment throughout the whole body.

7. Also we would add that there be taken the ALCAROID and the CAROID Bile Salts tablets once each week; half a teaspoonful of the Alcaroid in the evening, and the next morning two Bile Salts tablets.

8. Then the next day, following the Bile Salts tablets, we would have an oil rub - following a hot sponge bath - along the spine, with a compound prepared in this manner:

Russian White Oil…4 ounces, Witchhazel…1 ounce, Tincture of Benzoin…1/2 ounce, Oil of Cedar Wood (not nut oil)…1/4 ounce, Oil of Sassafras…5 minims.

Shake the oil together before a quantity would be poured in an open container for the massaging. Only massage into the spine that which will be absorbed by the body. Begin at the base of the brain and massage TOWARD the central portion of the body, in a CIRCULAR motion. Begin on the lower limbs and massage TOWARD the central portion of the body; that is, to the 9th dorsal area. On the limbs and over the lumbar and sacral area. On the limbs it should begin on the sciatic nerve and the CENTRAL locations along the back portion, you see.

9. As to the diet, keep those things that will make for easy assimilation - but that make for blood and nerve building for the body.

10. Follow these, and we will find we will bring for this body the near normal reactions.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Am I strong enough now to stand the operation? (A) We would not have an operation as yet. There should be preferably a building up. And should the drainages and reactions in the system be set up properly, the condition may be eliminated.

13. (Q) Please suggest an osteopath in Richmond for me. (A) One that’s headed the osteopathic hospital there. Either of these.

14. (Q) Any further advice for my better well-being? (A) Keep the mental attitudes in the way that is known by the body; that he that expects - and acts in an expectant manner, consistent with the mental and physical activities - will be rewarded.

Know that these conditions which have disturbed the body are being eliminated, and that the body has MANY USEFUL days - and years.

R1. 5/26/34 Mrs. [532] wrote to Mr. Salter indicating that she was returning the Radio-Active Appliance to him since she was unable to use it, though she said in her letter, ”…I have had two readings since April 12th and I feel so very much better…”

R2. 6/11/34 In answer to EC’s letter requesting information as to why she was unable to use the Appliance, Mrs. [532] said that she was unable to obtain the crushed ice, that she lived in a very small apartment and that her refrigerator didn’t make enough ice to use daily in the Appliance and she was not near enough to an ice house. Her letter ends with this paragraph: ”…Dr. McGuire removed a large goitre from my throat on June 7th. My condition is fairly good due to your building me up. When I come down to the Beach I will see you…”

R3. 2/29/60 Mrs. [532]‘s daughter phoned GD saying that her mother was still living and had written her to find out the exact date of her original reading and also to have current data re A.R.E. publications, etc., mailed to her.

R4. 1/30/63 Mrs. [532] requested copies of her rdgs. and later wrote: “Thank you for the copies of my readings. They were true, then and now.” Best wishes, Mrs. [532]
