This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [5323], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, the body is a long ways out of place! We have the body here, [5323].

3. As we find, there is a complication of disturbances, for the central nervous system and the cerebro-spinal, or the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal systems are almost at variance one with the other. This comes, primarily from a pressure created by a fall on the end of the spine, or the coccyx. And this has produced nervousness at times, an overactivity of kidneys and bladder at others, constipation, headaches, a general nervousness, not able to sleep at times.

4. Little or no pain across the area, yet at times a heavy dullness across the hips and the pelvic area, but as much in the end of the bones of the head of the limbs, or at the femur these ache at times.

5. As we find, these are the sources and the causes of the disorders. There should be the correction of these, then setting up general stimulating; and here, while in this area, do have George N. Coulter [D.O.] attend to these, making the corrections, and we would have Reilly [Dr. Harold J. Reilly, PhT.] do the hydrotherapy for purifying the system, clarifying the colon by one or two colonic irrigations, several weeks apart, and a light sweat made more by a fume, or witchhazel, and a thorough rubdown with the Bubble Bath in pine oil; the electrotherapy, or lying under the green light for at least six to eight or ten of these.

6. But first get the corrections of the end of spine and the rest of the area coordinated with same, and we will have bettered conditions for this body.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Is there a possible cystic left ovary? (A) Not if you will do these things; there isn’t at the present time. The pains through these areas, as indicated towards the hips, are from pressures on the brush end of spine, in the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal system itself, cause disorders or disturbances between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal.

Do as has been indicated, we will get relief quickly.

R1. 11/17/44 Report from [5323]: “I feel better than I have in years [after having treatments recommended in the reading].”

R2. 4/16/49 GD requested report from [5323], Drs. Coulter and Reilly.

R3. 5/17/49 Questionnaire returned by Dr. Coulter: “Patient made 5 visits and quit. I did find the condition referred to at the end of the spine. It is possible, as in reading, that all [5323]‘s various ailments were a result, direct or indirect, of the coccyx pressure.”

R4. 5/25/49 Dr. Reilly’s letter: “I cannot find any record of Mrs. [5323] ever having come to us - she probably missed up on taking any of the treatments as far as our service is concerned.”

R5. 6/10/54 [5323]‘s husband’s letter: ”…My wife is in Washington suffering with cancer. She suspects but does not know that she probably will not recover. The doctors say she should be fairly comfortable for perhaps another six months and then her condition will deteriorate rapidly.

“She was found to have cancer of the cervix in March last year and subsequently was given deep X-ray therapy. She has been ill most of the time since then and has had two kidney operations. The cancer apparently was arrested for a time but recently appears to have been reactivated in the abdominal region…”

B1. 12/16/43 [5323]‘s husband’s letter: “She has been ill a great part of her life, and I am afraid she is approaching the time when she will have one continuous ailment after another, leading either to a short life or an extended misery. We need your help.”

B2. 12/27/43 [5323]‘s letter: “This is merely a list of known physical symptoms. It is furnished in the hope that if the reading should miss any of them, specific questions then may be asked: Chronic constipation. Stomach swelling and gas. Sterility. Pain from adhesion in abdomen, from operation. Apparent hyperacidity. Possibility of fracture in jaw from recent extraction of wisdom teeth. Weak, palpitating, possibly enlarged heart. Menstrual irregularity. Ear aches. Weak eyes. Malfunction of tear glands or ducts. Discolored nails, possibly indicating calcium deficiency. Low blood pressure. Hay fever and rash.”
