This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [5326], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet Magazine.

Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, N.Y.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5326].

3. There is much, as we find, that should be a part of the consciousness of this entity if the physical, the mental and the spiritual be coordinated in a more perfect understanding.

4. It is well that the body holds to its ideals but make them certain and not problematical. For, remember: in the body, in the body-mind, in the soul-body, these are as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are one in purpose but their activities in the earth are individual; so in self body-physical, body-mind, body-spiritual. The physical-body has its attributes, the mental-body its attributes, the soul-body its attributes. Healing of the soul-body is the beginning, to be sure, but there may be the necessity for physical applications also if the physical body would be healed; and it is just as divine, these necessities, as is body, mind or soul.

5. So in the applications the entity has made, these are well and yet not having accomplished, not having received the full results in the ability to meet the needs of physical conditions where the entity in the limbs has been meeting its own self from other experiences.

6. For life is a unit. This the body must learn. These conditions may not be entirely eliminated, they may be entirely eliminated, dependent upon faith - in what? the ideal of the Christ-consciousness, making aware through the needs of body-eliminations, body-building-up, body-activity.

7. As has been and is indicated there are areas, then, in body where circulation is not as much equalized as in others, and yet you would have the body whole.

8. Diet, fasting are well in their place; so is the application of that for supplying a need, for a supply of energies to build body-forces.

9. Then, we would add these to that being administered:

10. Do use the Radio-Active Appliance as an equalizer. Attach to the right wrist, left ankle, left wrist, right ankle; these circulated about the body. Attach the same plate first each time to the body. Be sure no other body uses the Appliance. There is no vibration until you have attuned yourself to same, as may be felt from same. But use this an hour each day and use this as a period for meditation, for attuning thyself to the divine which is within.

11. For thy body is indeed the temple of the living God. God didn’t mar the body - only self can do that. By marring the mental attitudes in experiences do the physical effects come. The physical and mental attitudes, then, are to be creative; so must be the application for those things.

12. These vibrations from the Appliance only use the energies of the body.

13. Follow same each time with a massage, using Peanut Oil, on the limb, from the trunk portion of the body to the end of the toes of the afflicted limb and of the other limb also. Follow with massaging the arms and shoulders and spine. Don’t be in too big a hurry, but know this is being done for a purpose.

14. And let the prayer in thine own words be nearer to these:

FATHER, GOD, IN THY LOVE AND MERCY THROUGH THE PROMISES MADE IN JESUS THE CHRIST, HEAR THE PRAYER OF THY SERVANT NOW. HEAL THOU MY BODY IN SUCH MEASURES THAT IT MAY FULFILL THE PURPOSE THOU HAST FOR ME IN THE EARTH AT THIS TIME. THY WILL, O GOD, BE DONE, NOT MINE.

16. (Q) Are the nerves of motivation dead? (A) If they are, may they not be renewed? Isn’t the body renewed at least once every seven years? Who is to renew it? Who is the giver of life? By pure coordination, pure faith, pure desire to be what God would have thee be. Ye have much work to do in this material plane. Don’t become impatient with self, with others. Know ye are indeed the Lord’s only as ye fulfill His commandments. Read Psalms 119 under the section Tau. Also St. John 14, especially 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th verses and then those latter portions of the 15th chapter. Apply them to self.

Do have these massages daily.

17. (Q) Will more than one fast be necessary? (A) This depends upon what ye gain by the study and what is pointed out to thee in thy meditation. Know God will speak with thee as ye speak with Him in thy conscience, in thy soul-self, if ye really desire same.

18. (Q) Will I be able to walk on my leg by October? (A) Ye may be able to walk on it tomorrow if ye have sufficient faith, but remember the law of the Lord is perfect; time, space and patience are as necessary attributes of the soul, if it would be one with God, as is body, mind and soul, or Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are one and yet remember as He gave: Time is not yet complete, time is not yet at hand, why? the laws are set, love can only remove same. Not that ye are to love other than as He hath loved thee. For He hath not willed that any soul should perish, He will not withhold any good thing from those who love His coming; not their own desire, not those who tell Him how, when and where they must be healed or the way they’ll be healed. Seek! For were the lepers who went to Jesus healed as the leper who went to Elijah? Who did the healing? Who would you have do it in thee?

R2. 4/13/73 GD’s note: A young man told me today that he met [5326] in the D.C. area; she has a good Gov. job and seems well adjusted to her physical disability. She told him she did not follow the reading, since she didn’t understand the Radio-Active Appliance nor where to obtain it.

B1. 1/21/44 [5326]‘s letter: “When I was 9 years old I had Infantile Paralysis. My right leg is paralyzed, and I walk with a brace and cane. I do get around extremely well and people think I have merely broken an ankle. This lameness does not bother me half so much as the question of what to do with my work. I am a music student, piano - I have rec’d over $2,000 in scholarships in 1 year and a half. Should I go on aiming at being a fine concert artist? Should I get another degree, which would make me even more in debt - I intend to pay these scholarships back - and would make further hardships on my mother and father - or should I accept a position in a small school at a very moderate salary? I seem to be growing farther and farther apart from my parents, and this disturbs me to no end, because I feel as though I shouldn’t accept any more from them than is possible or necessary.”

B2. 5/22/44 [5326]‘s letter: “I have found a doctor who is willing and confident in doing something with my lameness - I am a student and want to continue with my work on my Master’s Degree next Fall, so I’m planning to undergo treatment which consists of fasting and diet, this summer. My doctor believes in nature cure, and has cured many cases of cancer, paralysis, tumors, arthritis, etc. He is completely familiar with medical terminology and is up to date in his knowledge of what the medical profession is doing, but to date has used no drugs or medicines in his treatment.

“He is very interested in your work and would be willing to cooperate with whatever information could be revealed through you.

“I am starting my fast next Sunday, and expect to continue it for 3 or 4 weeks - some fasts last for 40 days or more. 1. Will I be able to walk on my leg by October of this year, through elimination by fasting and diet, of toxins stored in the nerves of my spinal cord? If not, why? 2. Why was I not able to help my paralysis through my study of the Bible and prayer by myself and friends, or was stumbling across nature cure a divine revelation since my faith has not been shaken?”
