GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, or giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Quite a province! This should indicate the time, Bavaria, Germany, June 16, 1891. Much might be given here. Yes we are given those activities of the entity now known as or called [5346]. Would there were many more individuals with the purposes of the soul as this entity, [5346].
-
We have the records here of that entity now called, [5346]. In interpreting same let these be understood by the entity. There is much of commendation; there is much that is to be kept in the experience. The sincerity of the entity few equal, none surpass. Don’t let this under any circumstances be removed from thy soul-consciousness, and remember that the soul never forgets. For it is from the beginning and will be to and through eternity.
-
In analyzing, then, the urges which are latent and manifested in the personality and individuality of this entity, the personality - little consideration is given by the entity. For the individuality shines through. Then keep this ever in thy consciousness: seek ye the Lord while He may be found and all things will be added unto thee. For the earth is indeed the Lord’s and the full measure thereof, and in thy search keep the faith in those promises of the Master, the Christ, that where two or three are gathered together in His name there may He be in the midst, and where two who agree concerning anything may ask, the Father-God will give it, if ye ask in His name.
-
As to the urges, these we find as characteristics:
-
One given to good works, considerate of others; so considerate of others that the entity should never attempt business associations alone but in whatever undertaking, if there is the right character of partner, it is well. For the entity works best with others and we shall see why.
-
As to the interests, things which have to do with improvement of conditions, of environs of peoples, are of special interest to the entity, and thus the entity sees far ahead at times, if it does have the right encouragement. Here is an entity who would be lost without its companion. Hold fast to same. Cherish, love and honor and you will find she will continue to be an inspiration to guide, to direct. Never carry on thy business or thy activities without taking her entirely into thy confidence. For the judgment of two is better than one, and where two agree and they ask, believing it may come to pass.
-
Do not ask for, then, selfish things lest they turn upon thee and destroy thy good purposes. Ask only as the Lord wills.
-
As to the appearances in the earth, these have been quite varied. Not all may be indicated but these to show the pattern:
-
Before that we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, and among those who were urged to come to the land of the present sojourn. Not knowing, being taken advantage of because of self’s own judgments, forced into activity during the rebellions in this present land, the entity lost its experience in that particular period.
-
The name then was Hans Grebbel. Yet the entity spiritually, mentally gained, for it found not fault nor made judgments upon others.
-
And let one of thy tenets ever be then: With what measure ye mete, it will be measured to thee again, and with what judgment ye pass it is measured to thee in thy judgments of thee, and of others.
-
Before that we find the entity was in the Holy Land and among those of those periods when there was the preparation of a lunch for the entity’s son, who sought to be among those seeking counsel from the Master. The entity prepared the loaves and fishes which fed the thousands, and as the entity gained from the message the son brought to the parent in that day, so may it gain in the material, in the mental, yea in the spiritual, to listen to the companion - who was the son in that particular sojourn.
-
Thus, it would behoove the entity in its business, in its activities, in its applying itself to movements of material things, to keep others in close counsel rather than in self.
-
The name then was Gardan.
-
Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when preparations were made for individuals to become heads or leaders in departments through the activities in the Temple Beautiful. The entity was trained in those fields of contributing to welfare work for others.
-
And thus abilities in the present for improvements to various forms of appliances; these stress in thy present experience.
-
The name then was Jeb-hidel.
-
As to the abilities of the entity, then, that to which it may attain and how, these are limited only by thy own choices of ideal, and of staying close to those companionships which may be ever the urge for the impelling force in the activities of the entity.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is it advisable for me to go into restaurant business? (A) Not for self. If there are others, very well. But listen more to the companion.
-
(Q) Would it be better to continue to be employed as I am? (A) These activities are very good, provided it gives sufficient time for the exploration of improvements or of patents the entity may obtain.
-
(Q) Shall I give further time to small inventions I have in mind? (A) Give more time.
-
(Q) What can I do about a disturbing noise that is in my ear (or is this purely physical, requiring physical treatment)? (A) Purely physical and not karmic. Remove the stress by head and neck exercise. Have - not by mechanical means - but corrections osteopathically made in the 3rd cervical to the 1st cervical and 4th dorsal.
-
(Q) Is it indicated that my wife and I will be able to become a channel for the entrance of other souls into the earth? (A) If this is the desire, as has been indicated, where two agree concerning anything that they would ask for, it may be given thee of the Lord.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/28/44 Letter: “My sincerest thanks for the splendid reading I received from you. Wherever I go I carry it with me and refer to it frequently for information. My association with you and the A.R.E. has proven more valuable than I could have hoped for.”
R2. 1/26/45 Letter from [5346]‘s wife: “Due to the pressing nature of my husband’s business, it is I who habitually write you and the A.R.E. We collaborate on everything, so I feel that I, too, am a member of the A.R.E. Anything that we can do to keep the A.R.E. alive we keenly desire to do.”
R3. 4/16/46 [5346]‘s wife: “TIR is truly magnificent. I read it and outlined it to [5346]. That’s what I do with all the communications received from you.”
R4. 9/20/47 [5346]‘s wife: “My husband died on Sept 8th…when Mr. Cayce gave him advice concerning an annoying ringing in his ears, he followed it, went to our osteopath, took treatments as stipulated, and was improved greatly [5346-1, Par. 24-A].
“There was no knowledge of the cancer which caused his death until an operation was performed for gallstones. Had EC lived lived we might have been able to help him in some way. Maybe not, when God needs a fine person, He summons; I realize that…
“Both of us have avidly followed the workings of this wonderful A.R.E. since becoming affiliated with it…
“Were it not for our mutual interest in the E.C.F. I could not have had the strength to carry on my daily work of teaching. The comfort that I have had from my association with you through [5346] has been my sustaining force. I shall continue to support you each year. You do a tremendous good. God bless you.”
R5. 3/28/49 Questionnaire sent to [5346]‘s wife by GD re his life reading, and answered as follows:
Q-1. Is it true that he was so sincere, so anxious to consider the welfare of others, that unless having a restraining influence of a business partner, he might “give away” too much or be taken advantage of? Give details. A-1. True to an amazing degree. Never have I seen him show any desire to amass any amounts of anything for himself. Always he had in mind someone to whom he could give or for whom he could do some kindness. The guests adored him. When he died, there was such a manifestation of grief that the manager of the hotel told me that he had never witnessed such a common bond between otherwise strangers.
Q-2. Was he far-sighted when encouraged by you? Did he depend on you greatly in every way? A-2. He asked my opinion in all matters which he considered important. He felt that I understood his sensitivity in matters of a personal nature.
Q-3. What was his attitude toward war, toward young men having to go? Considering his last incarnation mentioned - coming from Germany to fight in the American Revolution and getting killed early - what would you say was a natural reaction in his make-up in this life? A-3. He despised war. My religion is Quaker so we both love peace. He left Germany because of her militaristic ideals.
Q-4. Was he especially talented as a chef, or as one able to see that all were taken care of physically as to meals, material comforts, etc.,? Would you say that he found great satisfaction in doing this because of the Palestine experience at Jesus’ feeding of the five thousand? Did he have great faith that God would take care of all physical needs? A-4. His position was that of maitre d’hotel so he had talent in overseeing the preparation of food and the service indicated therein. I think that his Palestine experience had a great bearing upon this. God was his strength. He hated medicine and relied upon faith for good health which he had abundantly until two years prior to his death.
Q-5. What would you say were the results in this life of the training the reading indicated he had in Egypt in “those fields of contributing to welfare work for others’? A-5. A very specific carry over. No question in my mind but that his previous experiences are in direct relationship.
Q-6. Just what were his invention interests the reading mentioned as “improvements to various forms of appliances” which he was to stress in this life? A-6. Many inventions. Some of a mechanical nature - springs for carburetors., etc., and others in the line of household appliances, and elastic-topped socks. He gave away all proceeds from them.
Q-7. Do you feel that you are still (even though he is on the other side of God’s door of remembrance) and “impelling force in the activities of the entity”? The reading indicated that you would always be, seeming to imply a past and a future relationship not confined to this earth plane. A-7. I think so. I dream of him constantly. Our conversations are often very satisfying. I cannot believe that he is very far away from me. We were so compatible that we must be a continuous force.

B1. 11/21/43 Letter from wife: “My husband has been in the hotel work many years and he longs to go into business for himself but questions the wisdom of a change. Then, too, he has patented an invention which lies dormant due to the war. He has other inventions in mind and wonders if he should patent them now or not.”
