GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [5365].
-
In giving the interpretations of the records there is much in the way of abilities, and yet there are many warnings which would be indicated from the records for this entity. There are evidences of abilities that have not been and are not stressed in the experience of the entity in the present. And there are emotions and likes and dislikes which arise from urges which are latent and manifested and also stressed by circumstances and environ.
-
Thus, we find a mind and body not in accord wholly with conditions about the entity. Thus a great deal of confusion.
-
Astrologically we find the urges which arise from Venus, Jupiter, Mars are as the ruling influences. Thus, we find abilities indicated in the beauty of music, in the meaning of song. These are the urges and these we would find would be well to manifest in the experience of the entity. Have at least part of a career in such activity. Stress same as a teacher, as an instructor for the young. This, while not necessarily indicating that it is to be made the life’s work irrespective of the home building, which is more in the present magnified by environs and suggestions from others than from the real self, we find that the body is not ready to settle down to just bear children and be a home drudge. These activities do not give for this particular body, as yet, the better periods of expression.
-
Don’t marry until you are at least twenty-nine years old, else child-bearing will be very serious for this body. But do, from the urges from Venus, have music, beauty, social life, but all in the manner of the Jupiterian, as benevolent, good, not being merely good, but good for something, being in the attitude of contributing to the welfare of others.
-
While it is true the entity may be told oft by the opposite sex that it is the inspiration, don’t listen to [4922], especially, and don’t listen to others yet. There are those answers which must come spiritually, mentally and physically and not merely physical emotions. These are not to be trusted in life experiences for this entity.
-
As to the urges from the experiences in the earth, while all may not be given, the pattern as of latent and manifested urges should be considered, as:
-
Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity. While the entity was not in the position through the experience of a lady of the land but one in whom there was found a helping to many peoples.
-
For the entity was then a teacher, school teacher. Drudgery was part of the experience and this innately gives manifestation to the entity in the dread of drudgery. But know, those who would do good must pay the price and there is much more to be had in the satisfaction of contributing something to the welfare of many than being the drudge servant of one who would mistreat even the better urges of the entity. Thus study well before there are considerations of joining another, for these activities are those wherein ye had troubles before and eventually brought most of that ye considered drudgery; while music, song, brought the only means of giving full expression (hasn’t the body got a beautiful foot?), in the activities which brought greater expression, greater experience for the entity, in the name then Lila Cox.
-
Before that we find the entity was in the Norse land when there were those periods of expansion of the land into those areas where turmoils are arising in the present.
-
The entity was then among those who were aided by contributing to the welfare of those who served the land or the nation or the groups. The entity then was in the capacity of what would be called in the present a practical nurse. For the entity looked after the welfare of those injured and taking care of things about the places of confinement, the places of rest and the places for recuperation.
-
The entity finds from these the ability to use the hands, to see into the needs of those who are discouraged, disturbed, and yet finds self in much of the same position in the present. The entity needs to look into self from the spiritual angle. Know that all that comes into experience must first be prompted by the spirit of truth or of selfishness or of falsehood and these are to be judged within, not of people but as to means and manners in which the entity would apply itself, as was indicated, through the experience then as Domane Ohlm.
-
In the experience the entity gained, and it will be well that the entity apply tenets, truths, urges which arise from that experience.
-
Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were through those periods of turmoil and strife. The entity’s activity as the child showed promise. With the return of the Priest, the entity’s activities came under the direction of the Priest in preparations for activities which brought many abilities, and these find expression in the entity in the present.
-
Fine linens, preparation of same, teaching, as well as music became a part of the entity’s experience, and thus the great abilities, if the entity finds self and gives expression to same before there is the settling down, in which there may become the satisfaction of a life well lived.
-
As to the abilities of the entity, then, as indicated, do have at least part of a career. Do study music, song. Do apply them. Do sing in places where the appreciation is indicated of soul-stirring, not of the nature as places of just amusement, but amusement with a purpose for good.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Along what lines should I teach? (A) As has been indicated, music and song.
-
(Q) Would it be a waste of time to dabble in dancing or dramatics or should I concentrate on things included in the general field of humanities such as palmistry, psychic subjects, philosophy and religion, etc.? (A) Do not dabble in these, for these tend to confuse. Music and song and the more serious classic and semi-classic and sacred.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 10/8/44 Letter: “I did appreciate my life reading immensely and it has been a great help to me.”
R2. 1/15/45 “I believe implicitly in the information gotten through Mr. Cayce.”
R3. 1/21/48 Questions asked [5365] by GD and answers received 1/29/48 as follows:
Q-1. Were your characteristics correctly analyzed? A-1. I think so, as far as talents, understanding and abilities go - or possibilities.
Q-2. Give examples; for instance: Is it true that in your case the physical emotions are not to be trusted? A-2. I don’t have “over-powering” physical emotions. Some people can have happy marriages that physical attraction played more of a part, or a different kind of part, in bringing them together. This is all so “relative”. If this answer isn’t sufficient maybe I can answer it more fully later.
Q-3. Have you stressed your musical and singing abilities as a teacher or instructor for the young? If so, with what results? A-3. No. Thus far in my life I haven’t done anything about this - outside of a little general knowledge of music and instructing the young.
Q-4. Have you found it wise to delay marriage as your reading suggested? Do you agree that you were not ready at the time to settle down to a home drudge? A-4. Yes.
Q-5. Is there a dread of drudgery or a monotonous life? Explain. A-5. Yes, drudgery implies going over and over almost unnecessary work in the longest and hardest way possible - it does to me.
Q-6. Do you have, according to your own and other’s estimate, “a beautiful foot”? A-6. I suppose. It is smaller than most girls of my height.
Q-7. Did your former incarnations listed find an answering chord within you? Explain. A-7. Yes, the abilities, urges and interests seem to correlate with my present life.
Q-8. Are you able to use your hands to help the discouraged? Explain. A-8. I have some interest and understanding of healing but haven’t done much about it.
Q-9. Have you found courage and stability by turning within for guidance rather than listening to others? A-9. More or less. This is a little hard to answer since my life has gone through so many changes and stages. But by this time, I do feel pretty sure of guidance I get that way.
Q-10. Explain any activity or trend toward “preparation of fine linens.” A-10. My abilities at making clothes were probably somewhat better than the average of that age group when in my early teens. Since then I have studied design and fabrics.
Q-11. Have you applied music and song in places of constructive purpose as well as amusement? If so, with what results? A-11. No.
Background
Background
B1. 7/6/44 Questions submitted: 1. Should I marry [4922]? If so, why? “It seems as if it would gum things up for our families and friends, and also I don’t know that I have the admiration for him that I feel I should have for the person I marry. I don’t see how any good could come of it.” 2. Is there a destiny that could bring us together at a crucial time, and cause me to be separated from other people, for instance […] whom I met in 1941? 3. Would it be worth my while to go to work on music now, voice and piano? 4. Would it be a waste of time to dabble in dancing or dramatics, or should I concentrate on things included in the general field of humanities, such as palmistry, psychic subjects, philosophy and religion, etc.? 5. How and where should I go about these activities? 6. What place does the science of hand-reading hold in being able to solve problems of mankind? “I have read that the original Hebrew of the book of Job - XXXVII, Verse 7 - reads: ‘God caused signs or seals on the hands of all the sons of men, that the sons of men might know their works.’” 7. Was Wm. G. Benham’s contribution to this study quite dependable? 8. Any suggestions about how it can be gathered into a trustworthy body of knowledge and applied to aid mankind? 9. Is it indicated that I will find the right person to marry and stay married till death parts us? “There is a clear indication in my hand that I’ll be married twice. It looks as if I’ll be divorced at about 47 years of age and married again a few years later. Will there be a good reason why I’ll marry again or does my palm indicate a mistake I’ll make? I’ve always believed in finding the right person to marry and staying married till death parts you.”
