This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [5376], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Jeanette Fitch, Stenos.]

Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Wash.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [5376].

  3. As we find, there are disturbances which are preventing the better physical functioning of the body. These have arisen from a disturbance which existed some time back. The present complications are the effects of these disturbances through alimentary canal, from the intestinal flu. There have been very poor eliminations, very poor digestion, for these inflammations through the colon cause a great deal of trouble through the rest of the alimentary canal and very poor digestion.

  4. Thus, poor assimilations and the poor eliminations cause those tendencies towards an arthritic reaction and the organs of liver and kidneys both become involved. These may be materially aided. It will require care, attention, persistence and consistence.

  5. First, we would begin with a series of hydrotherapy treatments, including colonic irrigations to purify or remove sources of disturbance from the colon. These should include some sweats and massages also.

  6. Then, we would have three of the colonics about twelve days apart, and the massages given.

  7. We would have osteopathic adjustments especially in the brachial area and throughout the lumbar and sacral. These should be practically altogether relaxing treatments. Then when these are begun also begin and prepare these: Take two ounces of a Fusion of Wild Ginseng, one-half ounce of Fusion of Wild Ginger, also add to this sufficient to make four ounces of Essence of Lactated Pepsin. These should include sufficient alcohol to preserve same.

  8. The dose of the Fusion would be a teaspoonful every evening when ready to retire. These, as we find, would be followed through the whole course. Then a rest period of some four to six weeks, and then we would begin all over again.

  9. As to the diet: Do add to the body a supplementary diet of the B-1 vitamin. If the body stays in the open others are not required. If there is lack of being in the open, do add also vitamins A and D. These all may be taken in the One-A-Day brand. Take the B-1 of morning, the A and D in the afternoon or when ready to retire.

  10. These should bring better conditions for this body.

  11. Ready for questions.

  12. (Q) Any other advice regarding diet? (A) We would keep a well balanced diet but do not take too much starches nor do not take carbonated water or drinks of any kind. Do take plenty of raw vegetables that will be digested, or when they will be digested. These will not be well to begin until the fusions are being taken as a part of the correcting of the assimilations in the alimentary canal. Fish, fowl and lamb are well but not much of other meats. These never fried.

  13. We are through with this reading.
