This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [5377], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet magazine.

Born March 11, 1912, in Wilmington, Delaware. Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of a very unusual entity and one who is destined to make either a wonderful success or a miserable failure. For the entity, indeed, is one of the Atlanteans and during the early period; at that period when there was the first of the breaking up of the continent.

3. Hence it is one of those well versed in what today is called scientific research. Innately, then, one given to study of science and philosophy and one who, as will be seen from sojourns in the earth, should give itself to serious writing, but in a vein that would not be too pessimistic nor yet too optimistic, but in the questioning mood should there be the activities in these directions.

4. As we find, these, then, bring “moods” to the entity; so there are periods when the entity in its studies becomes over-enthusiastic, and thus, as in the injunction, don’t be too critical, don’t be too enthusiastic. Be sure - not because others have said so - for there you find fault, from the experiences in the Atlantean land when you knew and because others without testing self ye brought upon self the periods through which the entity is again coming back toward those activities to make the world, the environs a better place because of the entity’s having given itself in study for the benefit of its fellow man.

5. The entity almost is what might be called a true Uranian and this, bound with the Atlantean influence, makes unusual conditions in the experiences of the entity.

6. Thus Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus or Uranus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus again, these make for these varied urges in the experience, but the activities should be more and more given to its abilities as a writer.

7. As to the sojourns in the earth, very few may be indicated, though, as we find, very many have been experienced, but as has oft been indicated in such, certain cycles are indicated when changes are indicated for urges as application is made of those influences in the experiences.

8. No urge is greater than the influences of mind over circumstance. For there is nothing which may separate an individual soul-entity from the true knowledge of the Father, or God, save self by the determination, but as has oft given, is given of the Lord, “Try me,” and this is written in the Holy Writ not by men who have sought to discredit same. “Try me that I may pour out to thee a blessing, a cup running over.”

9. Thus let there be the study, the closer study of the promises which are made in the Book, yes, the history of the Jews; yet these having failed, who is Israel? Not the Jew, but Israel is the seeker after truth. Who may this be? Those who put and hold trust in the fact that they, as individuals, are children of the universal consciousness of God!

10. This indicates, then, that the body is transient, the mind is amenable or the builder, the soul is eternal.

11. Seek in patience, for as given, in patience, possess or do ye become aware of your soul.

12. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity during those periods of reconstruction following the so-called American Revolution. The entity was then in the name Johanne Hendrixson and made records which were portions of the experience of individuals through that period, and these became a part of those which indicate the history of the land during those periods as recorded by one Goodrich. In the experience the entity gained by attempting to be honest with each of the records which were given by the entity, searching the activities of those who participated in various phases of the mental and spiritual endeavors through the ideals which were the promptings of the leader of that period.

13. Before that we find the entity was in the experience when there were those activities in the Roman land and when there were reports which came from many of the places where individuals had been set in places of power or position representing the government during those periods, and thus the entity heard, thus the entity saw the varied manners in which individuals of certain groups, and individuals who were supposed to be free-minded people, were held to the tenets and teachings; and thus the experience of the entity in not only the search for the unusual but the search for that which seems to be within itself as to its activities.

14. The test should be as within self. For read thoroughly, analyze the admonition given by the lawgiver after his experience of the periods of activity in the earth - one and twenty years had the entity been given to giving the law, the moral law, the penal code, the marital law, relationships of all kinds. Know indeed that the knowledge is latent within.

15. In the experience the entity found a real activity, gaining some, losing some, questioning some; in the name then Promotos.

16. Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land as indicated, just before the first breaking up, when there were the disputations between the children of the Law of One and the sons of Belial. The entity was among those who made application of the true laws and yet listened to the use of, and in using of personal indulgence, personal aggrandizement, these became the stumblingstones in that period; in the name then Ohmel.

17. There the entity was among those who were of the destructive forces, using that which caused the breaking up of the land.

18. As to the abilities of the entity, then, that to which it may attain and how:

19. These are limited only to the entity’s ability to control and not try to extol self.

20. Search ye your own mind, not others; test them with the promises in the scripture and find the experiences in self; and do write that which will be not only worthwhile in itself but share the experiences with others.
