This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of October, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [538].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [538], present in this room, and the dreams this body had on the night of October 27th or morning of 28th, regarding [294] and I being out in a large field, seemingly a beautiful plot of ground close to a cemetery, or part of same - of [294] shoveling a large pile of rocks, trying to remove same with a small cart. Of [288] and I being shut up in a large apartment building and unable to find our way out, etc. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these.

2. EC: In the dreams of this body we find, as have been given, these to the body represent that of experiences in emblematical ways and manners that are to be heeded or taken note of. Especially do we find this true when such impressions are gathered in the body consciousness as to bring that of the fear, or of the feeling of experiencing SOMETHING pertaining to that experienced in vision.

3. In this we find there is seen not wholly that as is apparent from the vision, yet we will find that again this vision, in the changed form, will be presented to the body. The natural question arising in one’s mind is HOW could one foretell that an individual will dream or experience in dream that which would indicate conditions already seen? The ANSWER would be, how would one KNOW that if an individual was on the road to Norfolk that he would reach Norfolk? That is, then, apparent - that would those same conditions remain there is no doubt that an individual on the proper road would reach that destination. Then, an individual on and in a certain trend of mind is sure to reach a certain definite position in the mental attitude of the body toward that visioned.

4. That VISIONED, then, in this particular case - is seen those conditions surrounding that contemplated by [294] as respecting the work, the building as is being tried or attempted to be done. There is seen here, as it were, a shovel, a cart, a mule, and an innumerable amount of difficulties to overcome, without there seemingly being any mode, or road, or manner of egress to accomplish that which is trying to be done; yet there is felt the consciousness that loads have already been removed, or that loads that have already been accomplished towards that end. In this, then, there will be presented to the entity that of an egress, or a manner in which this may be accomplished. Heed same - for it will be given, and - as has been outlined - well that these be considered and the counsel harkened to!

5. In the latter portion, or that in which there is seen much consternation as respecting the individual in an apartment building, or in a large department store and the inability of the body to find an egress - again the same condition presented in the definite way and manner, showing that other individuals are to be considered as respecting their abilities and their assistance as regarding same. Heed this then when it is presented, and be on the lookout for same.
