This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of August, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [5389], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Miss Esther Wynne.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis and Jeanette Fitch, Stenos.]

Time of Reading At home, Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. Norfolk, Va.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5389].

  3. As we find, there are disturbances which prevent the better physical functioning with this body. These, while appearing of a complex nature, are all primarily the result of a pressure produced by a skirmish or a wrestling wherein the areas of the 11th and 12th dorsal, and the 7th and 8th dorsal, have a lesion which is of a lateral nature. These, with the pressures upon the nerve supplies to the colon, produce a tendency for a filling or a plethora in portion of the transverse and descending colon.

  4. Thus, we have quite a variation in the pressure in the metabolism or heart’s activity or circulation of the central nervous system. These are the sources, too, of the exhaustion which is caused by activities sometimes of a mental nature and at others when there is the exercising of the muscular forces of the lower limbs and the dorsal areas of the body.

  5. These may be materially aided. As to how great a relief is obtained will depend upon how sincerely and how consistently the body makes these applications:

  6. First, we would begin and have a high colonic irrigation. This is to purify or cleanse the colon. After at least two days have another. Thus keep a purifying of the colon, but in five days have another and unless all mucous is removed in this operation, then there should be the fourth, purifying or removing all of the sediment and mucous from the colon area.

  7. Then begin osteopathically and have the corrections made in the areas indicated where there are lateral lesions. This should require not more than about eight to ten such treatments.

  8. Then as to the diet: Keep closer to those things which are of the vegetable nature and very mild or easily digested other foods; fish, or fowl or lamb. No other meats for the body and these rather in moderation than in quantities.

  9. Do these things and we will find we will remove the sources of the variation in the pressure. We will establish a better circulation between lungs, heart, liver and kidneys and we will gain more strength for the body.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) What is cause of almost constant headache? (A) Pressures in the colon area upon the sympathetic nerve forces in the area of the 6th, 7th and 8th dorsal.

  12. (Q) Should I go on a diet? (A) As has been indicated. Do these things if we would bring better conditions for this body.

  13. We are through with this reading.
