GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the question, as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes, yes, we have the body here. There are disturbances, physical, as well as confusions, mental. In attempts at times to purify body forces, one may reach those extents, in the matter of custom or diet, as to cause hardships and to cause elements necessary for the better body-functioning to gradually be entirely eliminated from the body.
-
This, to be sure, is not an attempt to tell the body to go back to eating meat, but do supply, then, through the body forces, supplements, either in vitamins or in substitutes, for those who would hold to these influences - but purifying of mind is of the mind, not of the body. For, as the Master gave, it is not that which entereth in the body, but that which cometh out that causes sin. It is what one does with the purpose, for all things are pure in themselves, and are for the sustenance of man, body, mind, and soul, and remember - these must work together, as should be indicated for the body in its interpretation of music. For music is of the soul, and one may become mind and soul-sick for music, or soul and mind-sick from certain kinds of music.
-
Physically, the strengthening of the organs of the sensory system are the more necessary. There are certain centers along the spine where there is greater coordination between the central nervous system and the sympathetic and those of the organs of sensory forces. So, as we would find, first, we would, through hydrotherapy, thoroughly purify the body forces. Three to six, then, thorough fume baths; then thorough massages, including colonic baths. Do these at Reilly’s. Thus we will purify the body by removing a great deal of dross that is preventing better conditions. The massages - particular stress should be made in the 3rd cervical; 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal; the 9th dorsal and through the lumbar and sacral. These use, in the massage, the oil rubs, combination of Olive Oil, Peanut Oil and Lanolin. These will be most strengthening and invigorating for the body.
-
Do add to the diet about twice as many oranges, lemons and limes as is a part of the diet in the present. These also supplement with a great deal of carrots, especially as combined with gelatin, if we would aid and strengthen the optic nerves and tensions between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal systems.
-
Do these. We will bring better conditions for this body. A great deal will depend upon the mental attitude of the body. Music is that realm between sublime and the ridiculous. Do practice the sublime. Not merely in thought but in what you think of and say about others, and how you treat them personally.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Will the exercises I know now develop normal eyesight if practiced daily? (A) Depending upon whether the system is purified, the attitude is correct, and the diet bettered. It should help.

We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/27/47 Report requested from [5401] direct by GD.
R2. 3/15/47 Dr. Reilly reported that [5401] had six treatments from him during September and October 1944, each one including a colonic, a fume bath and a massage.
R3. 1/2/57 Letter: “I am answering your letter of 2/27/47 requesting a report of a physical reading I received in 8/44. I am a government clerk and have been living in so many different places that I have not been able to follow the instructions given, so cannot give a report that would be of any value. I am returning to my home in California in the spring and hope to do better then. If you have information for mailing on the following subjects I would like to have it: Tr. for the common cold, hay fever, thyroid (enlarged), hair growth and color… I was a member in 1944 and would like to continue membership.”
R4. 1/66 GD’s note: To this date Miss [5401] has been active as a member of A.R.E. and interested in various publications and activities.
