EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. Isn’t feeling very good at the present time. Has had some conditions that are not at all satisfactory.
-
Now, we find the conditions in this body not as good as when we had them last, you see. It (the condition) is nearer as that we had at first, though there is not as much of the formation in the duodenum and stomach as there was at first. More tissue now becoming involved, and the lower end or pyloric orifice being inflamed, the exact position of the seat of trouble being rather that just to the left and little lower than the pyloric orifice proper. Inflammation through duodenum, pancreas, liver and spleen affected somewhat, causing distress in the whole system, and the condition needs to be corrected, and will not be reached by medicinal properties, only to ease conditions. The properties as medicinal properties should be that of a mild tea, with equal quantities of sage and Yellow Saffron, one to twenty parts. Also well if the water that is drunk carries the properties of elm bark. This, we see, will empty the stomach, and at the same time act as a sedative and soothing to the parts that are suffering from this condition.
-
We would give then the vibrations as were given the body before, only we would change the poles in this manner: A plate would be attached to each wire, and one applied to the front portion of body, just below where the misery or distress [is] in the abdomen, or just above the umbilicus, and the other alternated from wrist to ankle. That is, one evening on ankle, the next evening on the wrist, but opposite sides of body.
-
Do that. We will find we will assist and bring back the normal vibrations for the body.
-
The diet should be that that carries much nutriment, yet easily digested in the system. Whole wheat in gruel, eggs (not well cooked, but fresh) and the cereals that carry much of milk and such properties. Junket, arrow root and such foods are best for the system.
-
Do that.
-
(Q) Give the cause and remedy for the rash. (A) From the condition as produced in the system, you see, here, this carries in the circulation as this affects the liver and the spleen and pancreas, and not giving the full assimilation in system. The body exhumes the poisons and toxins through the capillary circulation producing this. Bathe the parts (as we see the changes) with a solution twenty percent boracic acid wash, with tincture of myrrh ten percent, once each day.
-
(Q) Should anything be done about almost constant nasal secretions and not being able so much of the time to breathe through nose? (A) This produced we see by the pressure on the hypogastric center, and affects direct the front facial muscles, and produces the lymphatic secretions, enlarging the glands and the portion in nasal cavity.
With the reduction of pressure the body will find relief from this condition. Then, when this is relieved, relieve the pressure in the fifth dorsal and third and fourth cervical. Chiropractically or osteopathically either.
- (Q) The body has been troubled in the past by a condition which the Doctors termed as Hay Fever. Can you give a preventative measure or remedy when trouble is not being had now? (A) Remove the pressure from the hypogastric, and that in the cervical and dorsal, as we have given.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 4/28/25 Letter from Wife [310]: ”…In regard to the business communication [Cayce Institute], we are two who have every right to wish you the very best yet in a well-established business, and we hope real soon to see our way clear to add our bit to your funds but we have maybe an indirect opportunity of at least supplementing present expenses. Even though our finances have never been of any help to you, we fully realize the wonderful help you have been to us first, and then to others. So we never fail to tell others of you, always stating our absolute regard for you and your work.” [She enclosed application for a Physical Rdg. for Mrs. [4691].]
R2. 7/29/26 Mrs. [310] referred Mrs. [1202] for a check-physical.
R3. 9/21/26 Wife [310]‘s letter: ”…We know you have heard indirectly from us several times lately, because it has been our happy privilege to tell several about you and your work. We feel that you are doing much good and we have been delighted in several instances to really witness the happiness and relief (mental as well as physical) that you have produced.” [See files of [4678], [4926], etc.]
R4. 11/16/26 Mrs. [310] referred Mr. [4864] for a Physical Rdg., also Mrs. [4863].
R5. 1/25/27 EC’s letter to a mutual friend, Mrs. [2457], indicated he had heard rumors of Mr. [5473] having an accident. No further mention is made of it, so we have no way of knowing what kind of accident, whether or not it affected his physical condition.
R6. 10/22/28 Mrs. [310] referred Mrs. [4746] for Physical Rdg.
R7. 4/13/29 See 310-1, a joint reading for Mrs. [310] and Mr. [5473] regarding their Christian ministry.
R8. GD’s note: Worries of Mr. [5473] connected with his congregation, mental attitudes, etc., perhaps contributed much to his adverse physical condition.
R9. 6/28/29 Wife [310]‘s letter in appreciation for reading 310-1 adds this post-script: ”…I was about to forget to ask you to write in regard to Magnecoil Magnetic Blanket, an electrical blanket, which is being used by several here, and which seems to me would be quite an addition to your Hospital equipment. You and Dr. House may already know about it, but I send the following address if you will write for all literature: The Magnecoil Company, Inc., Community Building, 45 East Broadway, Salt Lake City, Utah. I think you may enjoy investigation, at least, if nothing more…”
R10. 7/16/29 Wife [310]‘s letter: ”…Many thanks for any kindness shown [to niece [5474], requesting a reading], and always we give thanks to God for your ability, for our acquaintance with you and yours, and for the good you do…”
R11. 6/9/30 Wife [310]‘s letter: ”…Since reading the letter to ‘Cayces Three’ [apparently referring to EC, GC, HLC - no copy of this letter in the files], I don’t think you will be really surprised to have us ask the same kindness which you have so wonderfully granted in the past: that you give a reading for Mr. [5473] at your earliest convenience. Knowing you as we do, we purposely gave you no details of his present condition, thinking that you prefer not knowing these. Really we are not a bit pleased with some symptoms for past several weeks. He has consulted the doctors and is following their suggestions. We are saying little to annoy our friends or to provoke sympathy, and to the casual observer Mr. [5473] goes about his duties as usual. But to us who really know, it is not ‘as usual’ to say the least, and he really is anxious about himself, which is only natural, and even this he tries to keep hidden. This week he is at Camp …, hence the enclosed clipping [giving the address] and at any time desired by you he will be here at home…or you will be advised promptly of his exact whereabouts. Before he left this A.M. we talked of writing just this to you and hope to hear from you either by letter or by telegram and thanks more than mere words do or can express…”
R12. 6/10/30 Friend, Mrs. [4631]‘s letter: ”…Mr. [5473] is not at all well, his blood pressure is too low, has caused his eyes to give him trouble. He had to get […] to read the Scripture for him Sunday. I believe the whole trouble is with his stomach and all is ‘WORRY’. It looks like people have lost all interest in the Church and he is worrying himself to death…”
R13. 6/16/30 EC gave the fourth reading - 5473-4.

B1. 1/10/24 Wife [310]‘s letter: ”…Without any preliminaries on my part, we want you to give a reading for Mr. [5473] who has not been doing at all well for some time lately. When we hear from you as to the very earliest convenient date for you to do the work, you may know that Mr. [5473] will be here at home… The enclosed card contains several questions, in case they may be of any help. I am sealing them, because of former suggestions made by you on similar occasions…”
B2. GD’s note: The following questions were enclosed: “Please give cause and remedy for the rash. Should anything be done about almost constant nasal secretions and not being able, so much of the time, to breathe through nose? The trouble began early last spring and lasted until real cold weather. It is not present now. Doctors termed it hay fever. Can you give preventive measures or remedy when trouble is not being had now? If you have given relief in past diagnoses, will be so glad to know your remedy. If diet suggestions are made, please let them be as detailed as possible…”
