This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Halcyon Hotel, Miami, Florida, this 12th day of February, 1927, in accordance with request made by his wife, Mrs. [639].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had here before.

3. Now we find while there are changes - many for the improvement and betterment of the conditions - yet the physical forces and the reactions as have taken place, and as are showing the effects in the body, are not wholly satisfactory.

4. One of the elements entering in as respecting same is that the suggestions as given for the full improvement were followed only in part; for there is a great deal of difference between massage and neuropath than that of the deep manipulation as given from osteopathic adjustments; and the variation is shown in how the reaction with properties given in diet has apparently stirred up conditions, and produces a dizziness and a weakness within the physical forces of body that seems to be reactory and not of benefit; yet these conditions are necessary, and are necessarily an outcome of that wherein eliminations are not set in order through the correct eliminating stimulations of adjustments in muscular tissue and in nerve plexus radiation.

5. For the variations in the conditions as we find at present, we would rather that those conditions as have been outlined - through the deep manipulation and adjustment of the osteopath - be followed more closely; and to overcome this troublesome condition through improper coordination of blood supply and of nerve reaction, through the various centers of the system, we would use that appliance of the Radium Applicator - of the heavy pad, see? This - used across the small of the back or opposite the solar plexus - will bring such stimulation as, with the adjustments and manipulation given through osteopathic forces, will bring about the quicker results, under the present condition.

6. Do that - following the diet as has been outlined. Be consistent - be persistent, for the betterment of the physical forces.

”…Mr. [550] has just received the Radium Pad from Los Angeles, Calif., and is now wearing it as per your Reading. He is also following the other directions as given. The naturopath who is doing the work for Mr. [550] is rather unusual. He has practiced medicine, is a chiropractic physician, and thoroughly understands osteopathy, and his manipulations are deeper than any of our osteopaths here. He is a thorough dietician and he is very much interested in your Readings, carrying out the instructions given; however, adding electrical treatments. And we were all very sorry that you couldn’t get over to the vest coast while in Fla., that you may have met him…” [She requested a Life reading for their son, [4840].]

R2. 3/22/27 Wife [639]‘s letter:

”…Mr. [550] is improving slowly and in the due course of time will more than likely want another Reading…”

R3. 4/15/27 Mr. [550]‘s letter written by wife, [639]:

”…Have followed all suggestions as given in Reading as near as possible and the result is proving very satisfactory. A great improvement in strength and general feelings. Had been going for sometime before the Reading to a Naturopath physician who was giving osteopath treatments and diet and then when we received the Readings the suggestions in the Readings have been carried out and feel they have helped very much indeed especially the Radium Pad and the charcoal tablets and Petrolagar…”

R4. 5/6/27 Wife [639]‘s letter:

”…Am now going to ask you to make a date for a Physical reading for myself as early as possible, and also another for Mr. [550]. There has been a decided improvement in Mr. [550]‘s condition and I believe the first of June would be about right for another Reading for him…”

R5. 5/16/27 Wife [639]‘s letter:

”…Mr. [550] has improved very much in every way. He is still taking a few treatments, about one or two a week and still wearing the Radium Pad. We thought possibly another Reading would give yet some suggestions that would be of benefit in his final recovery.

“Mr. [550] says he doesn’t know of any particular question he might ask you. Financial conditions and business conditions with us the past year have been and still are very trying, and that has its detrimental effect on Mr. [550]‘s condition - the unsettled [real estate] conditions and worry thoughts as to how things will come out are detrimental…”
