This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of February, 1926. 551-9 was volunteered, without the suggestion being given to obtain it, following dream interpretation reading 137-60. [Mr. [137] was also a stockbroker and known to Mr. [551]. In fact, Mr. [551] was associated in business with Mr. [137] and his brother, Mr. [900].]

1. EC: Now, we have those conditions as regarding the body, mentally, physically, morally, financially, of [551].

2. In the changes as have come to the body, in its physical and mental relation with self and others, and those conditions, especially, as relating to those of the opposite sex, we see that again manifesting, that, would the entity gain the more perfect knowledge, for that necessary in the physical plane, learn well that lesson, that, “In union there is strength,” and that “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” The closer, then, these moral lessons become the fibre of the individual entity, the greater becomes the impelling power of the entity to, in the material world, forge ahead. See?

3. Then, as to those material conditions, there have been many ways through which the entity has gained access to the knowledge of self in this material world. Then, again, approach that force, that entity, [257]*, through which the knowledge of self, and of these forces as are manifest to the entity, were gained, and through the conjunction of the efforts of these two [[551] and [257]] may there much material and physical gain come to the entity; for the connection of two [[137] and [900]?] in the street below the entity, where there has been much prospects - does not seem to be working so well; for these have become self-sufficient unto themselves, and are not in the way of helping further. So, through these channels now, as given, should the entity turn more attention. Not ALL, no. Through many channels may there great good come to the entity. Keeping self in that way and manner that the closer relations may be kept between

4. In the market there will be found many changes, many conditions are to arise that will cause much entanglement in the next few weeks. Then a gradual rise again, and in these the entity may gain much for self.

Smith’s account in T. P. Benkard’s Co. 61 Broadway. I expect to sell it for 200. Please wire and write immediately at my expense your Reading, reference to my present and future business condition. Am carrying you on for your last Reading and for this one.”

I had the great hopes of seeing you personally before this writing but my business and economic conditions were such that I could ill afford the trip to you to Va. Beach, and the only plan I have now is to be a little more successful to make it possible for such a trip. In the meantime I am trying the best I know how to make ends meet and pay my bills of home and save up money in order to marry the little girl with whom I hope to be made very happy, and her happiness as well. Anything else that you can add to your last Reading concerning my progress in business financial - spiritual - and my love affairs will be greatly appreciated…”
