This psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of October, 1929, in accordance with request made by his niece, Mrs. [1192].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [1192], Mrs. Henry Jacobs, and L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find some accentuations of those conditions as have disturbed and do disturb this body. More pain through the locomotories, and in the arms and head. This produced by the overtaxing of the system as related to those efforts and activities of the system in setting up the eliminations, and in the assimilated forces as are necessary for the improvement of the conditions - these accentuations, would there be applied that which will aid in bringing a nearer equalization and a stimuli to the heart’s action - any uneasiness as YET be seen - but would these continue to where there is again the reaction sufficient to overtax the system to INCREASE the pressure in the upper cervicals and brain, then this may become much more acute.

  2. We would, then, give the mixture or alternations of that in Digital and Strychnine, and we would equalize the emanations and the pressure as is produced, by either those of the manipulations - gently given - that the circulation may pick up the better, and the activities of the nerve energies be relieved - or through that of the VIBRATORY forces as may come from DRIVEN vibrations for the system. Do that. Ready for questions.

  3. (Q) Will the mental conditions clear up? (A) As the pressure is removed, the mental condition should clear up. This dependent to be sure, upon the manner in which the pressure is removed and the absorption taking place in the system so as to be eliminated from the system.

Manipulation should be in the dorsal, lumbar, and ESPECIALLY in the head and neck. Arms and limbs massage, more than manipulation.

  1. (Q) How often should the manipulation be given? (A) GENTLY once each day. Thoroughly, at least once each week.

  2. (Q) How often should the Digital and Strychnine be given, and what doses? (A) Only when this [is] NECESSARY to relieve the pressures, or pain as comes, and then in very small doses. Under the supervision of physician, sure.

  3. (Q) Is the body responding to the treatments as have been given? (A) Not wholly, as yet - for these have not kept pace with those outlines for the treatments, see? Keep these in their proper order, time, as given - not thinking because there is nothing felt that there will not be reaction from the conditions, for these will make pressures when OVERTAXING the system. We are through with this reading.
