This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of January, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [5529].
[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 12:40 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement of same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had here before. The general physical condition in the forces of the body show the normal changes as occur through the various conditions as have presented themselves to the body through that of the general physical forces in their activity throughout the body.
-
There has been well outlined for this body that of the conditions necessary to be warned against, and of that to do in the physical way to keep this physical body in an active way and manner. These we would follow out rather closely; not severely, but consistently and persistently, and with much attention to that of the diets that will react properly to the physical forces of this system.
-
In the mental attitude of the body we find many changes as come about from time to time. This, as we see, gives more trouble to the body than the actual physical forces of the system. In these changes that occur from time to time, the body finds that there are many whom the body doubts that are sincere, yet their actions under the questioning of others does not always appear so to this body. Be well were the body to make up it its OWN mind as to which of these the body would heed, and follow that, see? for the body will find self in the position - with the continuation of those conditions as have existed for some times past - where soon the body would be without the assurance from assistance from either - for the ones far away do not hold toward the body as they should. Rather heed to those close and present at hand.
-
We are through for the present.

I have been very sick since I received your last reading but have tryed [tried] to carried [carry] out the plans the best I could and carecly [correctly] keep up the diet. But my greatest troubles is my head and bowels for some days I feel find [fine] and other days I am worse but I feel that I have been benefited and will keep up my reading as I have been but I still get that odor [Odor? R2. 12/29/27 Letter: ”…I have been keeping up with the reading that you sent me and I feel that I have been benefited by it, and some things you told me have come to pass. I would like for you to send me another reading as I would like to keep in touch with you and would like for you to send me the price of another reading and I will send you the money. Let me hear from you soon…”
R3. 1/8/28 Letter: [In answer to EC’s letter making an appointment]: ”…I received the letter and I am sending you five dollars in this letter as I am not able to get to the Post Office to send you a money order. Please state at once whether you received it. What can be done for this continual headache? Can I get a good man and wife to stay in the house with me? Why is it that I feel so bad some days and other days I am a little better?…”
