1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Now, we find somewhat improved conditions from those as we have had. The body in the physical manner is bettered. The body in the mental manner is bettered. The conditions, the relationships of the life mentally to the surroundings and experiences of the body have been made more in accord with that for the nominal development of the body. Hence much of the distresses and the worry, as has been that of the body’s surroundings, has shown improvement. As for the physical, there needs be only those following up of those conditions as have been given as would assist the body in its decline, or in its age - as IT terms so. There are in the mental some of the conditions that would be well not to assume without due consideration, for there is the need of the body’s - physically and mentally - taking consideration of the cost to self in mind and in health. Remain much in the same surroundings, then - though the mental body and the physical following same may go far afield in assistance to others and to self. We are through.

R1. 4/2/29 Letter: ”…Your letter of March 26th Cayce Hospital form letter] was received and found me feeling much better. My head is some better and I am not so weak, and don’t perspire quite so freely. The abscess on the face is some better. Am keeping up with my reading trying to do the best I can. My surroundings seem to be some better. I am so thankful for all that has been done for me. I wish success to the Cayce Hospital…”

R4. 8/2/29 Letter: ”…It has been some time since I have written you. I have not been well this summer, and have been so weak. My niece has been sick all summer, not able to write for me and that is why I have not written you. I hope to hear from you soon…”

R6. 7/20/31 Letter: ”…Haven’t corresponded with you for quite a while. Thought I would write - sorry that I have waited for so long, but I feel that I need a reading and would like to know what the charges would be. Hope that you will give me an early reply, as I still have an interest in the work, as you have helped me before. Hope to hear from you soon…”

R7. 8/3/31 Letter verifying appointment: ”…I received your letter today. The 3rd of August at the date set for my reading I will be at my residence … In regards to my reading I would like to ask if you think I would better myself by moving from this place and if the person that’s with me now will stay with me until I get settled, and will my health be better? Please find enclosed a money order for $10.00. I will do the best I can in carrying out your advice, as I can read but I have to get someone else to do my writing…”
