[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis and L. B. Cayce.]
Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body - a little bit of change in the name. [GC had left out the middle initial which had been used in 556-1 and 556-2.]
-
As we find, the conditions here are somewhat improved. While the weakness and the tendencies for the repressions to make manifest through the activities in the system are still indicated, the basis or the CLEANSING of the system has been perfected in a great measure. Not that all poisons have been eliminated, not that all the shakiness or weakness has been overcome; but now we would begin with those things that will make for the gaining more of the strength of the body, by not only the food values but the proper amount of exercises for the body. Not that there is to be a change in the character, but this as a basis and the general diet - or that as will be the more easily assimilated, and we would include Ventriculin in the diet, taking this as a tonic - two to three doses each day.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Why does the milk seem to disagree? (A) Never been prepared just perfectly in the right way, but - as has been given - use this now only as the basis for the diet. Give other things that agree, and that the body calls for. What the appetite calls for, EAT - but don’t OVEREAT. Whatever the body calls for, EAT - but eat it in small quantities. Never completely satisfy the appetite, and be sure that the food taken is WELL masticated.
-
(Q) Why does orange juice disagree with the body? (A) Doesn’t disagree.
-
(Q) If the milk is to be continued, just how should it be prepared? (A) As is stipulated on the directions in making same, with those additions to other milk - or if preferable, change entirely and use only buttermilk, or churned milk, you see - or clabber, which would be preferable of all.
-
(Q) Why the loss of flesh? Is this as it should be? (A) As indicated, this must be for the perfecting of the channels through which the eliminations may be better, and for the building up of the system now.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) This we would do, but be CONSISTENT with all things. As to the activities, as to the mental attitude, as to ALL things associated with the activities of the body. Be in the manner as that it is the JOB now to gain strength and vitality to meet all the emergencies, all the conditions in the experience that may be builded up.
Do that.
To be sure, with prayer, supplication; but doing all things in order.
- We are through with this reading.
