1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions as surround the body, [5576].

2. In considering that, that may be applicable for correction of conditions physical AND mental in the developing body, much outside influence must be taken into consideration; yet, as we would find, there may be those applications material or physical, and mental and spiritual, that would bring about better coordination in the physical and the mental body.

3. As we find, there is not a lack of physical development, save as its being directed in or through channels that make for misdirected energies for development. Neither do we find a lack of the ability for the mental development with its proper coordination between the functionings of a mind-mental with those of a physical being.

4. Then, the consideration that is to be given in making any application for corrective forces, that there may be the better coordination in the mental, the superficial, the imaginative and the physical being, would be to create within the system itself that as makes for the proper coordination of atomic forces as control the functioning of, and the changing of, those material conditions as are taken, for sustenance, into the physical body, into such vibratory forces as to create a normal equilibrium between the matter in the body and that of a normal, or near normal functioning of that matter in a material plane and in a material body.

5. As is seen and known, all atomic forces are of an ELECTRICAL

nature in their effect and affect upon a physical organism. Not all portions of the system function in the same vibratory rate, as the nerves of the sensory organism are made - as it were - in a series of necessary portions of system for the proper alteration of vibration of atomic forces to create either that of vision, hearing, feeling, tasting, and the like; for these are an alteration of vibration. So also, in the assimilation as for gland functioning - as creates in the system those elements that add to either the nerve energies in their activity those necessary elements for the COORDINATION of the muscular forces within the system, as to produce functioning in a nominal or normal manner, or they are OVERCHARGED or undercharged - that PREVENT their functioning in a nominal manner. Hence, as is seen, in a manner, as how the activity of the physical body may be altered by the concerted activity of minds that are directed to the atomic forces of an individual, in raising their vibrations to a nominal or normal manner. Hence we have that of spiritual healing to a body.

6. Now, the same vibrations may be raised for a PHYSICAL body in the PHYSICAL sense, as may be raised in a mental or spiritual body by its association or ITS connection with that that creates a necessary element of vibration for corrective forces in a system.

7. Then, to find the correct vibration for elements that are lacking in their sustaining forces for a living organism, and to create that within the enlivening portions of the system in such a way and manner as for same to be assimilated by, or become effective in, a living organism, is to be able to change that environ of that physical organism as to be creative and evoluting in its activity in that system.

8. For this body, then, we would find that we would add those vibrations from the low form of the electrical vibration as comes from that known or called in the Wet Cell vibration from those atomic forces necessary in the forces of the body itself. These, we will find, it will be necessary to change or alter somewhat in this particular condition:

These would be made in their normal or nominal way and manner, with the nickel pole and with the copper pole, but the anode from the nickel pole (which would be of the larger nature) should be made of that that carries a high percent of nickel and gold; or, as is known in that that is ordinarily used as nickel gold-plated, and we will find that these attached, first the smaller anode from the copper pole to that center in or just below the BRACHIAL center, or that as functions with those of the heart and the organs of the circulation, and the larger (or the gold, or gold-plated) anode would be attached to the body at the umbilici, or between that of the umbilici and of the glands that make for assimilations within the system - see? These are over or near the glands of the lacteals, or to the RIGHT - between the umbilici and the lower point of the floating rib, or last floating rib.

10. In the applications, these should be made at least once each day for a period of three to five weeks; five weeks in the SECOND treatment or period, three weeks in the first, and rest one week before beginning the next; thirty to sixty minutes each evening.

11. Those vibrations as may be had by the concerted activity of individuals, that may be able to raise their OWN imaginative (if so chosen to be called) forces within self, to see those activities taking place within the active forces of the body, [5576], we will find this will also aid. SEEK and ye shall find; KNOCK and it will be opened! SEE that being accomplished, and it will aid much.

12. We would not alter those diets as have been given. We would not change those elements that are occasionally given to function with the system in its eliminations in the alimentary canal. We would ADD these in a physical sense to change the atomic forces of this body.

14. (Q) If the directions are followed, may we expect the full faculties of the physical and mental body? (A) These must of necessity be an evolution, a development within. Let’s BEGIN! Let’s KNOW these WILL become normal! Let’s KNOW that these WILL function properly, and then we will see a change!

15. (Q) Any spiritual lesson to be followed in this case? (A) Always! Follow that as has been given oft by those in meditation, those in the raising of the active forces in a material world!

16. (Q) Who should give the mental help? (A) All, whosoever will, may approach and not be hindered!

17. (Q) Could the healing group help this body? (A) Healing group could help this body. ALL may help this body who will!*

18. (Q) What produced this condition to this body? (A) This a prenatal.

19. (Q) How long before we may expect to see results? (A) At least by the time of the second series of applications of the vibrations.

20. (Q) Which will come first, mental or physical? (A) They will come together, for this - the PHYSICAL - is a channel THROUGH which the mental and spiritual functions in a material world! The sensing, naturally, will be first to the physical.

21. (Q) Does he recognize his mother as being his mother? (A) There are occasional periods when he does. Oft he does not.

R1. 3/10/32 Excerpts from Glad Helpers Prayer Group Reading 281-4:

10-Q. Will the forces please give us information regarding [5546] [m. child mentally retarded] passing on? Did we aid him? If so, how? [5546-1 given 10/14/31] 10-A. Here we find a physical condition of a nature that was of prenatal conditions, where a physical being was in existence with only half an awareness of the conditions about same. The RELEASING of that force into the ability to become aware, or a birth into the spiritual sources. Not only aiding the individual but those so responsible for same, as to bring a consciousness of the universal or creative spiritual forces in the lives - LIVES - of all. Aid, then,

• not only to the body but to those so vitally interested in the same.

12-Q. Have we as a group been able to aid [5576] [deformed, retarded m. child, son of recently deceased Dr. […] who had been metaphysical teacher of Miss [993] and others in the [281] prayer group]? If not, please explain how we may best aid him. [5576-1 given 12/22/31.] 12-A. In that there is much of a debt of gratitude, as well as of duty, as well as bringing that awakening of the spiritual consciousness; though this may not yet be SEEN in a VISIBLE way, there is good being accomplished not only in self but in MEETING those obligations to others, as WELL as BRINGING to the consciousness of the body an awakening.

R2. 6/17/32 Excerpt from Glad Helpers Prayer Group Reading 281-7:

12-Q. [By Miss [993]]: Would appreciate information concerning [5576]‘s recent illness [now deceased?]. Please advise us as to how we can aid him. 12-A. As has been intimated, there are many combative conditions to be dealt with in relationship to this entity; yet, as given, on account of the associations with the entity that brought into being this entity, and for the feeling or obligation from such association, MUCH should be given in attempt and in aiding to make for the entity that contact, that association, that will raise the spirit forces to the higher vibration. The recent illness, as seen, came in part from neglect on the part of some closely affiliated or associated in efforts to aid the body; yet oft may it be said all that comes has it cause, its source, yet - as has been given - even in creation accidents sometimes happen.

In the manner, then, to aid most, raise in self that beauty of spirit as expressed in Him, “Suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” In raising, then, the consciousness of self that kingdom is being manifested, expressed, in the body, though not seen or understood by us, there is HIS will being accomplished, that this entity, [5576], may be one with Him in that kingdom.

Raise that as oft as seemeth well with thee, and these will bring it about; “for thoughts ARE deeds”, and as their currents run there are created those forces that make for the closer affinity for like and like [“Like begets like”].

B1. 12/1/31 Miss Esther Wynne’s letter to [5576]‘s mother: ”…Since writing you yesterday I have had a letter from Mr. Cayce’s secretary stating they would rather you would make out the enclosed application, as this is an incorporated Association. We have to comply with some form and, too, it shows a personal belief in the work. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO YOU.

“You can make out the application and send directly to Mr. Edgar Cayce, 105th Street [GD’s note: later 67th and Ocean], Virginia Beach. If you want to, write him a little note, it will be very good.

“Send a list of the questions you want ask and give the name of the institution in which [5576] is staying. This will delay the reading perhaps a week, but it will be better for all concerned in the long run.

“With love and best wishes, I am.” Esther Wynne

B2. 12/11/31 Mother’s letter: ”…I have a letter from Miss Esther Wynne this morning, enclosing application blanks for a reading for my son [5576], requesting that I fill them out and return them to you. I am enclosing them herewith.

“When my husband passed away on June 21 last [6/21/30], I became convinced that the cutting off of the life on this plane of such a great soul, one doing so much good here, was for a great purpose, and I felt that that purpose was mainly to help his little son. We seemed to have exhausted all human knowledge, and in fact he told me that only from the unseen would come freedom for my baby. I have not any questions to ask - all I want to know is what is the barrier which is imprisoning the little soul, and crippling the body, and what can be done to break it down and bring it freedom. At present he is at the State Training School, …, Georgia.

“Thanking you, and with the greatest appreciation for your interest.”

[GD’s note: [5576]‘s father was a metaphysical teacher, lecturer, writer, etc. On 4/24/30 Mr. [900] wrote EC that Mr. […] [5576]‘s father made a very interesting talk to the N.Y. group.]

B3. 12/14/31 EC’s letter: ”…We have received your letter of the 11th, enclosing your application for the reading for your little son. This appointment we are making for the morning of … Please let us know the exact location as near as possible, where he will be during the hour set. I think, too, that the more in attune you are with the higher forces at that particular time, the better it will be. We hope this time will be satisfactory, and that we may be able to assist you in gaining for him a full and complete recovery.

“There is (no doubt as Miss Wynne has told you) connected with the Association a study group, in which there is a healing group that I am sure is whole-heartedly in accord with the information which may be given through these sources. It might be well for you to address Miss Wynne in respect to having this group assist you through their prayers and meditations. This you can best determine, of course, from your own experience.

“I was certainly surprised and shocked to hear of your husband’s passing, but we realize that the All-wise Creator does not work in a manner that is always understandable to our poor minds; for it seemed that Mr. […] had such a wonderful work to be done HERE - yet he may be able, if we will but be channels, to carry on in a much bigger, better, broader way and manner.

“Trusting we may be of service to someone so near and dear to him, and with the kindest regards, I am sincerely…”

B4. 12/17/31 Mother’s letter: ”…Again I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness towards my little son [5576]. I received your letter this morning acknowledging receipt of the signed application for the reading, and advising me that it would be held on the 22nd of this month. …I shall cooperate with you in every possible way.

”… is a very small village seven miles from …, Georgia, and the institution is composed of one large and five or six smaller buildings. The one in which [5576] is located is some distance to the side and in the rear of the main building. The room in which he sleeps is a long one with lots of sunny windows and rows of little white beds. I shall be there with him at the time you have set - alone if possible, and holding him in my arms. I will of course hold to the highest with all the power with which I am capable. Oh! how I hope and pray, KNOW that something will break through and something will be revealed by you. I will write to Miss Wynne, and I know that the circle of friends there who know and loved Mr. […] will send us all the help they can.

“There is one question I would like to ask, and that is, if he knows me as his mother. If for any reason, it would be better for him to be entirely alone at the time of the reading, will you let me know; and if, when I get down there Monday, I find he will not be located as I described at the time I will send Miss Wynne a night letter, and she will be present at the reading.

“The Superintendent, Dr. Oden, of the Institution, and the nurse in charge of [5576] are rare souls of great kindness, but I do not know whether there is anything in their consciousness except materia medica. I hope there is, otherwise my fight may be hard. You see I am writing to you as a friend because I cannot feel otherwise toward one who would help my baby boy…” [GD’s note: Reading recorded as given gratis.]
