This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of February, 1930, in accordance with request made by self, through Dr. L. A. Lydic.

1. EC: Yes - Some changes in the reactions in the system. In the GENERAL way and manner, a change of surroundings would be beneficial for the body - with that segregation as has been created in system through the application of the releasing of forces within the vibrations of the body. While this has only been partially, or half-heartedly done - but with the applications of the light, as should be with same, and with the cleansing of the Eustachian Tube, also of the nasal cavities and the soft tissue in face, THESE would relieve the body - IF it DESIRES to be relieved! Do that!

2. (Q) Should medicated ash be continued? (A) Continued WHEN the others are applied; that is, the lights - the proper manner for elimination - the manipulations - cleansing of the Eustachian Tube and the soft tissue of face; so that these - These are to prevent, you see, in the system, RE-INFECTION; or PREPARING the body FOR the treatment, so that IN the application of instruments - whether hand or of operative forces - these will change the vibratory forces and the coagulative influences in the blood supply. These may be continued, then, with the application of the others. Without the application of the others, discontinue.

3. (Q) How often should manipulations be given? (A) At least once each day, and the first cleansing of - or relieving the Eustachian Tube - could be in one week, then in second week, or third week from same, AGAIN this may be done - but the cleansing of the nasal and of the soft tissue, antrum, etc., should be done at least once each week. Lights should be applied according to the amount of ash as is given, and in coordination with the other applications to the system.

4. That is all the questions regarding this body.

5. Now, this is worth while even INSISTING on these changes, IF the desire IS to be normal! We are through with this reading for the present.

R1. 11/6/49 Memo by Miss Helen M. Wenzel, a worker on the Edgar Cayce Foundation Campaign: ”…Spoke to Mrs. [5588]‘s daughter who knew nothing about the readings or Edgar Cayce. Mrs. [5588] has a bad case of palsy, and impairment of speech. Didn’t remember readings, and seemed bewildered. There was a wedding celebration in progress so felt it wasn’t the time to go in a lengthy explanation. Asked if I could come at a more opportune time, but was told no one was interested…”

R2. 1/3/62 GD’s note: The membership application which the sister said was signed by Mrs. [5588] on 11/26/29 and witnessed by Mr. [417], shows that Mrs. [5588]‘s handwriting was very trembly and irregular - as if she were a very elderly person. Evidently the Parkinson’s Disease was incipient at the time and the two readings were simply trying to prepare her for further treatment to get at the cause.
