[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 12:00 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

  1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of Mrs. [5594], of …, Ohio, who seeks advice concerning the manuscript she has written, and also as to the welfare of her husband. You will answer the questions she has submitted concerning these.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, Mrs. [5594], …, Ohio. Ready for questions.

  3. (Q) To whom shall I send my manuscript “Eel Pie”, that it may be produced by the Universal or Warner Film Co.? (A) To Roth of the Warner Film, or to Lehman of the Universal - either of these would consider the manuscript. David Roth or Samuel Lehman.

  4. (Q) If the manuscript is published or screened, what will be the effect on my husband? (A) That would depend upon the manner in which self presented the circumstances as concerning same, the manner and presented as to why such was done. If presented in the manner, not as irrespective of his wishes - but rather as a means of finding expression of self and self’s abilities, to aid in the circumstances and conditions as SURROUND self from every standpoint. The abilities of the entity, as has been given, should not go for naught - nor should the entity, or the body, consider self or self alone in WHATEVER self may attempt to do. There IS a way in which self may PRESENT self’s abilities, that would make for a wholehearted cooperation between the two. There IS a way that would make for a division, and contentions. Do it properly!

  5. (Q) Shall I send it as it is, or make changes? (A) Send it as it is. The necessary changes for production may be made by those producing same.

  6. (Q) Should I have it edited by Agnes M. Reeve? (A) Not NECESSARILY.

  7. (Q) Shall I sign my own name to the manuscript? (A) That as desired. Own name or pen name.

  8. (Q) If accepted, will I have regrets? (A) That depends upon the manner in which self reacts to same!

  9. (Q) Do you advise that I take a short story course from Columbia University? (A) Short story study course would be well!

  10. (Q) In regard to my husband, what shall he now do? Where should he apply for a position? (A) As we find, with the ideas as the body has as respecting some improvements that may be made in the fields of endeavor, would these be made to - or WITH - those of the Majestic people, would be an opening, and a satisfactory one, provided worked in a proper way and manner - see?

  11. (Q) Should he give all his time to his last invention? (A) That would depend upon the necessity of making the connection, or the MANNER in which a connection is made. This may be made in such a way and manner that most of the time may be given and STILL perfect, or MAKE for satisfactory arrangements all around.

  12. (Q) How can he market it, and when? (A) This is the manner, as has been given!

  13. (Q) Can he do anything with his remedy for athletes’ foot? (A) This may be best worked through some of those channels where such is needed, with specific trainers in different fields, as with those in connection with institutions such as McFadden’s, or such as Leonard’s (?), or the like - see?

  14. We are through for the present.
