This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of July, 1930, in accordance with request made by self and those in charge.

Time of Reading Cayce Hospital, 11:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: We have the body here - this we have had before. In some respects we find conditions are showing the response of the applications as have been made for corrective measures in the system. There is needed more time, and more of those applications as has BEEN outlined, would the corrections be of a permanent or of a real beneficial nature. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) What foods should this body have for perfect assimilation and elimination? (A) This might be as a sample, though necessarily these should be changed or altered to SATISFY the cravings of food for the body:

Of mornings - these should be of gruels, and of those of the fruit juices - but never any apples, or that which will produce fermentations. Peaches of certain characters or varieties may be taken in moderation.

In the noon - these should be rather of the vegetables that grow above the ground.

In the evenings, there may be those of the meats that have the JUICES - rather than the flesh, and those of the vegetables that carry weight; not too much starch, but that act WITH the gastric juices that make for the alkaline reactions in system.

3. (Q) What laxative should be taken? (A) Will the manipulations and the proper diet be taken, there will only be the necessity of laxatives occasionally. These should be rather of the oils, with agar - or those that will aid the juices in the system to act in a normal manner; as an alternative between those of the caroid variety, or of the agar variety, WITH the oils that are as lubricants - rather than those that excite the gastric juices. The olive oil, which the body will assimilate, will build as food values for the digestion and assimilating system; but be sure there is not so much taken at a time as to cause segregations [regurgitations?] within the system, but just that quantity as will be assimilated with the gastric juices of the system, whether as of that in the alkaline portion of system or passing through the acid reactions.

R2. 8/5/30 Letter: ”…I have thought so much about you dear people since leaving you a few weeks ago that I want you to know that my association with you all will always be one of the happiest memories of my life. It is wonderful to be able to help mankind as you and your dear helpers are doing.

“[5621] and I both feel so grateful for the help we have had and we are both improving each day.

“Today I am mailing you a real Virginia Ham which I hope you will enjoy…”

R3. 10/29/30 Letter requested an appointment for her other daughter [5465] and stated her daughter [5621] had improved wonderfully: “I, too, am better but am not well and if possible when there I would love to have a check reading. It is more necessary for my daughter, though, and I cannot ask too much of you…”

R4. 11/24/30 Mrs. [5622] submitted questions for her reading: ”…It means so much to know that you good people are helping me that I truly appreciate it… What is the trouble with the pancreas? Is it operative? If not, what treatment is advised? Specify what foods should be taken. Is raw fruit harmful? …Little did I think when I wrote you recently that I would have to write you so soon about myself. I had a serious attack of acute indigestion and the doctor insisted upon an X-ray. They found a very cloudy pancreas, which they say is causing the trouble. I don’t know just what they will advise, but I will do nothing of any moment until you can give me a reading. I feel rather upset about my condition and will so greatly appreciate a reading whenever you find it possible…”
