This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of April, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - [5642].
[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce, and Mr. Milton Brown.]
Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Indiana. (Check Physical Suggestion)
- EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5642]. Now, we find the physical forces of the body responding much nearer to the normal way and manner, and the coordinating of the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal forces nearly normal. While there are re-occurrence at times of a dizziness, yet the tendency of the backflow of blood to the head has almost disappeared. With the changing of these conditions, necessarily the body has to gain strength and vitality necessary to PREVENT the re-occurrence of these conditions. Then gradually the body should take on more activities in the physical and mental manner. Not leaving off entirely the eliminants as are found in the ragweed tea, but these taken only occasionally, and beware of the meats, as have been given, and only following those of the outlines as have been given for the diet. Keeping self in that full at-onement, remembering that will the body but APPLY those of the lessons as are being followed in the reading of the Scripture, there will come the full awakening in self of the ability to apply that of the spiritual force, that the vitality will be able to restore the body physically and mentally, and give the body that full opportunity of manifesting itself in a more service to man, as the highest service to the Creator. Do that, keeping the body clean - internal, external - and keeping the MENTAL body in the proper direction of CONSTRUCTIVE thinking. Ready for questions. We are through for the present.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/7/29 Letter: “Had I followed your instructions in regards to diet more closely, I suppose I should have been even more cured than I am, but the call of flesh meat was very strong and I indulged even more than I should. I supposed you noticed something of the sort in your recent reading.
“I am more careful in regards to diet now. I am eating a purely vegetable diet now with an occasional egg at the evening meal.”
R2. 5/23/29 Letter: “My condition is so much improved by following all your instructions that I must ask you for a new reading sometime in the future so that I may be sure of my physical condition. You will please notify me of the date and time of said reading so I can be sure to be home at the proper time.
“There is one question I should like to ask in my next reading. Are my kidneys as they should be? It seems that my kidneys were weakened by my service in the Army and if they are weak what can I do to make them normal?”
R3. 6/1/29 Letter: “Today I received the beautiful, illustrated pamphlet of your Cayce Hospital. I was pleased with the pictures showing good taste, we might even say luxury, in which the hospital is furnished.
“We are eagerly looking forward to the time when I can visit you and see your remarkable institution.
“My condition, seemingly hopeless, is so far improved by following all your instructions that I feel that I must ask you to give me another reading, sometime in the future… You are to say when, that I may know my real condition.
“My habits are so fixed that you will find me at home any hour of the day except between seven and eight A.M. our time, then I am usually at church, for I am a Catholic and attend Holy Mass even on week days, as we have a resident priest.
“Flattering myself I will say that although I am only a convert I try to be a good Catholic.”
R4. 6/6/29 Letter: “In reply to yours of the 3rd [re. appointment] and to describe my condition more fully I will say that, my whole being is revibrated to a new flow of blood and energy which rebuilds the wasted tissues from conditions that have been, and my digestive organs are functioning so nearly normal as to require little or no eliminant.
“The date named is satisfactory to me.”
R5. 7/23/29 EC gave the 7th and last reading, 5642-7.
