This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of January, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [5657].

1. EC: We have the body. With the applications as are given this body in the manipulations, were those of the Infra red ray added before the manipulations were made - we would find that the stimuli then accorded the system by the manipulation would aid in BRINGING to the surface, and aid the system in DRAINING - as it were - those drosses as cause stiffness in the limbs, and especially through that portion of the system where injury in the hip and pelvis has given and caused distress.

2. Be mindful of the diet. At times the body has broken OVER. This, to be sure, for the moment did not apparently hurt - but when followed up soon again, creates within the assimilations of the system that as produces drosses and distresses to the system.

3. When there is the pain in the limbs and in the pelvic regions, we would add those - for the relief - of hot packs of salt (heavy salt), first bathing the body in pure apple vinegar over the parts where the application is to be made. See?

4. As for the medicinal properties, these we would keep as has been given, for the ELIMINATIONS need the accentuation, and this is not hard on ANY of the functioning organs; nor does it produce too much irritation within the alimentary canal itself. We are through for the present.

R1. 2/4/30 Mrs. [5670]‘s letter: ”…Mrs. [5657]‘s daughter called me and asked me to write you and tell you that in some ways Mrs. [5657] is better. She has taken thirteen treatments and still taking the medicine, but her leg and foot is so sore and pains her terribly. When she uses the hot salt baths they ease her a great deal…”

R2. 6/20/30 Mrs. [5657]‘s letter enclosed two dollars for medicine which apparently she had ordered sent direct from Virginia Beach. Apparently EC or the Cayce Hospital had secured the medicine from the local druggist for her.
