EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5659]. Now, the conditions as we find that have to do with the disturbing forces in the physical functioning of this body are of rather the specific nature, and taken in time may be practically eliminated from system. Though the effect as is being had upon the functioning of the organs is of such nature as has been termed by some as practically the incurable, yet we find - were these conditions adhered to as may be given - this condition might be abated to such an extent that, while the body would not be able to return to the full diet as SOME might, without being fearful of troubles, yet these conditions may be ALMOST eliminated.
-
The tendency of the diabetic, or of the over activity of the functioning of the system as regarding making sugar, and of the heaviness as is apparent in the heart’s action, and the conditions as exist in kidneys, and the functioning of the bladder - these, as WE find, are conditions produced by that injury sustained to the body in years back, and exists in the lumbar and in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 7th dorsals - see? and affect the body, or the effect has BEEN to bring about these disturbing forces within same.
-
Now, to meet the needs of these - first we would CORRECT these conditions. First, to satisfy self or the body, X-RAY these conditions and see that these show the alignment is bad, and that the pressure is created - the condition then exists, the results are the effects as are seen with the digestion, the pancreas, the liver, the heart’s action, and mostly the kidneys.
-
Now, to meet the needs - then - of these conditions, with these corrections - as these corrections are being made (WE would make them osteopathically), keep up the ELIMINANTS - especially those as have to do with the alimentary canal and the effect as is created in the disturbances as are seen in duodenum, pancreas, and the spleen. We would take this: Those properties as may be found in combining this:
-
Take the ordinary ambrosia or ragweed 6 ounces. Put in 16 ounces of water. Reduce by simmering to 1/2 the quantity. Then add, while warm, simple syrup (but made with beet sugar) 2 ounces. Cut 2 drams Balsam of Tolu in 3 ounces of grain alcohol, 85%. Let the dose be, of this, at least half a teaspoonful twice each day - see?
-
The diet shall be, little or no sugars - no sweets, save honey in the honeycomb may be taken occasionally. No white breads. Little of the meats, though fish or fowl - or fish especially - may be taken in moderation. Fowl once a month, but not over eating then. Especially those vegetables that grow above the ground. GREENS, spinach, beans, lentils, cabbage, cadives (?) [endive?], onions - these may be taken that grow below - onions, carrots, and the oyster plant. These only taken when - NONE of these cooked with grease! No butter. Milk only that as of the Bulgarian type may be taken.
-
Follow these. We will find we will make these corrections for this body. We would see this again after the proper adjustments are made, which should require about sixteen to eighteen (16 to 18) adjustments and treatments, and the following of the diet fully, as this. Then we would give further instructions.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 12/3/29 In answer to Cayce Hospital Questionnaire:
”…I have your letter of November 15th and glad to note that you are still interested in my case.
“I studied the report very thoroughly and decided not to follow the instructions given yet, as I am on a diet and was warned so by doctors last year when I was in the hospital, not to deviate from my diet in any way, that I feel that I do not want to follow your instructions given in the report.
“I found that one thing in the report is almost correct. The report stated that I should not use fat to prepare any of my food. I am doing this very thing now, although I do use a certain amount of butter in proportion to the carbohydrates and protein I get, but I do not prepare my foods with butter or any kind of fat. I use mineral oil altogether.
“Considering the fact that I have made so much progress since a year ago when I was seriously ill in the hospital, I do not feel that I want to change my diet and also follow the prescription which you suggested.
“Thanking you for the interest shown and hoping to hear again from your organization, I remain yours very truly…”
