This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of December, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - [5705].

Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes. Now, we find the abnormal conditions as are produced in this body are from those conditions as have been caused or brought about by the condition in the intestinal system, and with the use of sedatives have only allayed conditions and allowed the body to bring the self to the physical action, without relief or without bringing about those conditions that would assist. There are other conditions as have arisen, and do arise from the various weakenings of organs in the body - as is seen in the pulmonary system, from those conditions as have long existed in the cerebro-spinal centers that cause a diffusion in the blood supply, and the pressure as is caused there brings the troubles to this portion of the body, and the trouble in the eliminating centers of the lower portion of the hepatic circulation is produced by this over STRAIN as is caused by the taking on of this portion of that as is to ease the distresses.

3. Then, to meet the needs of the conditions at present is as necessary to give that which will give ease, but at the same time begin the relieving of that as causes or produces the condition.

4. We would apply across the abdomen those of heavy flannel cloths wrung out of hot Castor Oil, as hot as body can bear, see?

5. For the inhalations as should be in the system, we would take those as found in this: To four (4) ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:

Eucalyptol…20 minims, Canadian Balsam…10 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…10 minims, Heroin…1/60 grain.

Keep solution in a container at least three (3) times the size of the quantity, preferably with a glass cork in same. Shake solution together and take the inhalation whenever it is necessary to retard the coughing, or to reduce the temperature.

6. Rub the spine with equal parts of Tincture of Myrrh and Olive Oil at least once each day. Heat the Olive Oil and pour the Myrrh in same.

7. Do that, and we will bring the better conditions for this body.

8. We are through for the present.

Medical treatment so far has failed. I will pay you well, if you can put me on the right road to health. If it is necessary to give you a few symptoms, let me know. I am a man 65 years old, October 11th, 1926…”
