This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of May, 1944, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Miss Kathryn Patterson.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Jeanette Fitch, Stenos.]

Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Ohio.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Not keeping appointment.

  3. We have those conditions of which the body and those responsible with same are anxious. The conditions where nerves have been caught by pressures in the neck are causing the turning of the eyes in this way and manner, as well as causing the inflammation in same, hindering normal vision, as well as expression.

  4. As we find, we would prepare the body by a series of gentle manipulations; these may be taken two or three times a week, for a period of at least four or five months. These will not remove the tension, but will cause better conditions so that the operative measures necessary to correct these, will be less and less apt to bring greater disturbance to the body.

  5. We would not have the operative measures then in this particular area. These we would have done either in Columbus, at Grant, or in Dayton at the Osteopathic Hospital. There you will find a good eye, ear and nose man, as well as a good gynecologist. These would be well, though the preparation may be done by Smith in Youngstown. Lydic in Dayton is the better operator.

  6. We are through with this reading. [See notes following reading re. doctors suggested.]

Two copies to Mother (one for the osteopath) Copy to Ass’n file ” under case number for indexing (For the preparatory treatments in Youngstown we would refer you to Dr. Arthur E. Smith, Five Dollar Bank Bldg., Youngstown, Ohio.

Following the preparatory treatments osteopathically, if it is decided that the operation is to be performed in Columbus, we suggest that you go through Dr. George W. Cooperrider, anaesthetician at Grant Hospital Columbus, Ohio, who is familiar with Mr. Cayce’s work and who can put you in touch with the man to do the operating, etc. If you decide to have the operation done in Dayton, we would refer you to Dr. L. A. Lydic, Reibold Bldg., Dayton, Ohio, who can put you in touch with the osteopathic hospital surgeon best equipped to handle the case. Dr. Lydic used to be in charge at the Cayce Hospital, Virginia Beach.

We suggest that you have Miss Kathryn Patterson go over the reading with you and help you decide on the best course to pursue in carrying out directions.)
