This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [573], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [573]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, in the present, the more acute condition arises from toxic forces or poisons, and is the effect of neuritic reactions through the shoulders, the limbs and portions of the body; extending at times into head and neck.

4. We would take consistently a teaspoonful of Eno Salts in a glass of water each morning for at least five days. Take this before the morning meal, each day for five to ten days.

5. Then have, professionally given, a colonic irrigation.

6. After a rest period from these, then, for a week, repeat the whole procedure.

7. THEN the body may be able to give self the enemas, or colonics, provided a colon tube is used - when necessary.

8. Do have occasionally a hydrotherapy treatment. This should include a mild sweat and then a thorough rubdown. Following the sweat there should be a hot and then a cold shower, to stimulate the superficial circulation. This, properly given, will aid in preventing further disturbance in the heart area, and that tendency for the blood pressure to be disturbing.

9. Do these things, and we will bring better conditions for the body.

11. (Q) Do I have hemorrhoids? (A) This is the irritation in the folds of the anus. Use this combination of oils for injection. To one ounce of Glycerine add two drops of Carbolic Acid. Shake this thoroughly together. Then add to this four ounces of Usoline, Nujol or Russian White Oil. Shake well together, or stir thoroughly. Use this in a force enema, as in a baby syringe or ear syringe, as an injection; and this as we find will alleviate the disturbance. [See 573-7, Par. R2.]

Each morning and each evening do take the stretching exercise; that is, standing erect raise the arms high above head and then attempt to touch fingers to the floor (though the body will be far from it!). Do this at least three to four times, morning upon arising, and evenings when ready to retire. This will aid, with the administration of the oil injection.

12. (Q) Do I injure myself to take colonics alone? (A) As just indicated, this has been harmful - and in the activities do have at least two colonics professionally given, before there is the attempt to do this again at home. Then use a colon tube, not attempting to use the heavy tube - which has been done at times.
