This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [578], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [578].]

Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Virginia.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [578]; this we have had before.

  3. As we find in the present, there are those tendencies for accumulations about the pelvic organs - that, as indicated, existed before.

  4. Daily, preferably when ready to retire, we would apply three to four thicknesses of gauze, or towelling, well saturated with Glyco-Thymoline, warmed, almost encircling the lower portion of the abdomen - for one hour; then the same on the back, each application remaining for at least thirty minutes to an hour - not at the same time but at different times, see. Use the pad first on the front, then on the back, see? with an electric pad to keep same warm.

  5. Also we would have the adjustments osteopathically made, through the lumbar and sacral area; coordinating the upper dorsals and cervicals with same.

  6. Doing these, the condition should be gradually eliminated. If not, it will at least set the body in better condition, alkalizing same - by the mere absorption of the Glyco-Thymoline - for the other measures.

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) Who would you suggest to make these corrections? (A) Irvin. [C. W. Irvin, D.O.] [GD’s note: Dr. F. C. Hudgins, Jr., who had successfully treated her previously, was now in the Navy.]

  9. (Q) Are the ligaments still in the position set by the last surgical operation, or have they become untacked? [See 578-6, Par. 14-A.] (A) They have become rather plethoric, and they are irritating one to another.

  10. (Q) If operation becomes necessary, would Dr. Rawls [J. L. (?) Rawls, M.D.] be best to perform it? [See 578-6, Par. 14-A in re his performing previous surgery.] (A) This should be the choice of the entity. As we find, he would be well - there are others equally as good, or better.

  11. (Q) Would pregnancy help or hinder the present condition? (A) This we find would be a hindrance at the present stage, but if there is the reduction of these plethoric conditions through the packs - by the absorption of much of this disturbance, and the organs are in better position because of the osteopathic adjustments that will have been made, pregnancy would then aid rather than hinder. But in the present inflammatory condition it would be a hindrance.

  12. (Q) Is it well to continue taking a douche every day? (A) This is very helpful. Use Glyco-Thymoline, and alternate occasionally with Atomidine.

  13. (Q) Is it well to continue the exercises of knee and chest position? (A) These we would not do until some osteopathic corrections have been made. After some six to eight to ten of these corrections, then it would be well to begin the exercises again.

  14. (Q) Is it possible for my hearing to be normal? If so, give outline in detail of what should be done. (A) The Eustachian tubes should be corrected and raised, for there is a prolapsus there that hinders.

  15. (Q) Would blowing out the Eustachian tubes help the hearing? (A) These as we find need to be RAISED!

  16. (Q) Why was not the hearing restored to normal after the three months of treatment from Dr. Richardson? (A) The Eustachian Tube was NOT raised.

  17. (Q) Who could do this? (A) Richardson CAN do it, if he will!

  18. (Q) Should I wait until after the pelvic condition is corrected before attempting to have the ear treatment? (A) There should be the waiting until the pelvic condition is corrected. The two would be one against the other in some respects. And the same individual that makes the spinal corrections for the pelvic condition may NOT make the Eustachian tube correction!

Do these things, though, and as we find there will be better conditions for this body.

  1. We are through for the present.
