Dear Sir:
Approximately forty years ago while Mr. Edgar Cayce was in Selma, Alabama, connected with his father’s photographic work, I received a reading from Mr. Cayce. This reading was in connection with a skin condition due to the loss of pigment.
I valued this reading very much and made every effort to find all the ingredients that was necessary to go into the mixture to be taken, given in the reading. Several of the leading doctors in Selma at that time reviewed my reading and attempted to aid me in finding all the ingredients, but was unable at that time. This is when the copy of the reading was lost.
I contacted Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce while attending his lecture May 21, in Birmingham, Alabama, and he stated that I may obtain a copy of my reading by writing to the A.R.E. at Virginia Beach.
I knew Mr. Cayce personally as he was a well known Sunday School teacher at the Christian Church in Selma, Alabama, during those years as referred to.
Please advise me if it will be possible to receive a copy of this reading.

R2. 6/12/63 GDT’s memo to Mr. [5780]: It is sad to find that we do not have a copy of your reading. Evidently it was given in those early years when often no copy was kept for his own file. We will possibly never know exactly how many readings Edgar Cayce gave, since a record of so many of them was not kept. If you can remember any of the details as to ingredients, etc., we may be able to furnish you copies of other readings for similar ailments with similar treatments.
