R1. 6/12/44 GD’s letter to Mrs. [5787]: For some reason Mr. Cayce was unable to get your reading on May 26th, although the attempt was made. He could not seem to locate you.

Therefore he is making another appointment at the first possible date, which is July 19, 1944, between 3:30 and 4:30 P.M., EWT. Let us hear from you about two weeks before that date, giving the exact address at which you will be during the hour set, while observing the period in a quiet, meditative, seeking attitude. Also submit a list of questions you wish to have asked concerning your condition, or a description of your major problem of health which prompts you to ask for a reading.

R2. 8/22/44 GD’s letter to Mrs. [5787]: It is with regret that I must tell you that we were not able to get your reading on the 19th.

Mr. Cayce has been working under such a strain that he has been forced to take a rest.

I am very sorry that your appointment comes among those to be cancelled.

Mr. Cayce will, as soon as possible, be glad to give you another appointment, if you wish it, though it may be some months before an opening can be found.

R3. 9/14/44 [1747]‘s letter to [5787]:

Dear [5787]: Because Mr. Cayce has had to go away for treatments we have had to cancel a great many appointments and of course as yours came up since he had been sick I thought I would answer your question as to when and why we have not contacted you sooner.

We have been waiting to hear from you as to whether you wanted another appointment since they wrote you on August 22, 1944. But I ran across it in checking the files and I took the liberty to make another appointment for you for August 14, 1945 Tuesday P.M. EWT and hope that is in accord with your desires. In the meantime send me some idea of your condition so that we may be able to offer you some suggestions for help.

I wrote Clara Mae something to do for over weight that Mr.

Cayce recommends to those who would like to try. It is take half an hour before each meal and before retiring, three ounces of Welch’s grape juice in ounce of plain water stirred together and you will find that it will take care of your overweight.

We are having a hurricane down here at the present time but as I have always enjoyed watching it storm it doesn’t seem too bad to me as yet. Of course it has not broke yet or else it might veer out to sea again.

According to the Reading on Mr. Cayce for the last 6 to 8 months he has been told that he must rest and the last one told him it was either a rest or else. Of course that means a great many cancellations and we are trying to give the utmost consideration to all concerned. Let us know if you would like to keep that appointment. I would if I were you. Since I am interested let me know how you are.
