This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of August, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [582], through Study Group #3 of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [582]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, there are considerable changes in the general physical forces of the body from that we have had here before; and the greater portion of these are for and toward an improvement in the physical forces of the body.

3. However, the irrigations have not reached sufficiently high in the colon to overcome the engorgements in the colon that tend to make for the increase in the pressure in the blood supply, through the activities on the hypogastric plexus. These taken sufficiently, under the present conditions, now, will the more easily remedy and make for the corrections in this direction. These should at least reach not only above the sphincter muscular forces but also to the beginning of the transverse colon area; and these will make for the removal of the conditions that cause the accumulation of those forces that make for pressures in the blood supply; alleviating this mucus from the system and allowing the reactions to become so as to keep the more alkalin in the lower portion of the system, and not have regurgitation of the hydrochlorics; thus making for better and better conditions.

4. In the present, then, we would only have the colonics in sufficient number. Now we should have at least three to four more. Then later it may be necessary for more, with the fullness - when there is any feeling of dizziness or heaviness in the back portion of the head, fullness across the lower portion of the abdominal area; they will relieve these pressures. Be sure that the antiseptics are carried in the latter portion of the irrigations, that there may be no irritating of the mucus membranes of the intestinal or colon area itself.

5. Of course, keep the vibrations that tend to make for the equalization of the blood supply in the upper and lower portions of the system - or the battery formations.

6. Do these and, as we find, we will continue to make for a [high blood pressure] reduction; for now it is only 188 - and it has been 240!

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Has all the treatment been followed correctly? (A) Very good; though, as we have indicated, the irrigation treatments have not been sufficiently high to evacuate the colon or to remove all of those obstructions or plethora conditions to rid the system of the mucus.

9. (Q) Just what would be my normal blood pressure? (A) 100 to the age, or - in the present - should be about 148.

10. (Q) Please give me instructions as to how I may bring my blood pressure to normal, permanently? (A) We have indicated for same. We must rid the system first of those things that cause or produce in the blood stream. This, of course, has been of sufficient duration to cause engorgements in the nerves that force through the impulse in both the arterial and venous circulation as to an easy flow or engorgement, see? Hence this will be gradually reduced, and we will have periods when it will be necessary - as just indicated - to use more of the irrigations to remove those conditions in the system; and the GRADUAL activities will bring about the normal pressure. It would be just as severe or more detrimental to reduce too quickly, you see. But, as we have indicated from the first, this is produced by a condition IN the colon.

11. (Q) Any more osteopathic treatments necessary? (A) Not in the immediate. This may be necessary, should there arise other conditions that must be equalized or coordinated in the system; but not in the immediate.

Keep the body-mental in such an attitude that the activities are not carried as ROTE, but see and know that those things used are for the equalizing - that the physical body may coordinate and function with the mental attitudes of the body.
