GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she may submit, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
The cold, the congestions, - while it has been released in part, there needs be first a thorough cleansing of the alimentary canal.
-
And with same, as we find for THIS body, it would be best to use in the beginning a mineral salts; such as here - an effervescent salts, - that is, Sal Hepatica. Take a heaping teaspoonful in a full glass of water; then two hours later take another.
-
THEN begin with Castoria, - small doses; about half a teaspoonful every hour until there is the full activity of this upon the liver and gall duct area.
-
Through the period keep out of the weather, and especially keep the feet dry.
-
It would be well if the feet were bathed at least every four hours (until there is the reduction of ALL temperature and until there is full activity through alimentary canal) IN hot water, and then rubbed down with an equal combination of Mutton Suet (Melted), Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor. Rub from the knees, or even from the hips to the feet, and especially the feet.
-
After the cleansing of the alimentary canal, begin with about twenty drops of onion juice or the equivalent in its activity upon the system (as Syrup of Squill) every four hours. The onion juice or the properties of the same nature; or the Syrup of Squill will be very well. This will aid in cleansing or clarifying through its activity of assimilation upon the respiratory system, the heaviness through the chest, throat and nasal passages.
-
Do these as we find for the present.
-
The foods should be full strengthening, but principally liquids and semi-liquid until the condition is corrected. A great deal of fruit juices and fruits and the like. A little of meats, of course, or meat juices, but not great quantities.
-
Ready for questions.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/23/46 Report: I had been suffering for about two weeks with a severe cold in chest, throat and nasal passages. I had tried everything I knew for a cold but didn’t get any better. When my temperature was so high, chills and fever, I knew I’d better get a rdg. Immediately after following the treatment in the rdg. I felt better, and in a few days the cold was entirely gone. I think the mention at the beginning of the rdg. of the condition being ‘released in part’ referred to a big piece of phlegm which I coughed up shortly before the rdg. was given. I could hardly speak, then coughed that up and felt better. The rdg. was referring to that, I’m sure.”
R1. 11/52 Report: “The operation apparently was very successful and the recuperative treatments suggested in the reading, because I had no further trouble of this kind.”

B1. Phone request by [578] - 2/27/39 for [585]…has temperature 103, sore throat, didn’t sleep a bit last night; eyes swollen; feels terrible; she is with us… I will take her to Dr. Hudgins today, maybe he can relieve her some, but we’d like to know the cause and get at it. Mother doesn’t feel well either, can’t seem to relax so as to sleep any. I’m getting on fine.
