This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of November, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [599], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Alabama. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes. As we find, conditions have changed a great deal in the physical forces of this body, [599], since last we had same here.

2. While there has been a great deal of disturbance, there is shown some easiness.

3. We would set up the eliminations through the use of the high enemas or colonic irrigations, by the use of the colon tube for relieving the poisons and those tendencies for accumulations through the alimentary canal. And this should change the pressure in the heart’s activity.

4. For such enemas, use tepid water - and make it rather a Soda solution. Or, to the gallon and a half to two gallons of tepid water put a heaping tablespoonful of baking soda.

5. When the evacuation has been complete from the first cleansing, then use a rinse water - and to the quart (tepid) put a level tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline.

6. Such cleansings of the colon, as we find, will reduce this quick pulsation in the heart’s activity, will relieve this pressure and fullness felt upon the left side close to the heart - where there has been an impaction in the colon area itself.

7. Use the head and neck movements, gently taken. Once or twice forward (body sitting erect); once or twice backward; once or twice to the left; once or twice to the right; then circulate the head - as in a circle, around to the right and then to the left. Rest a little bit and then circulate it again, right and left.

8. Also we would keep the vibratory forces from the Battery that is being used, but keep the anodes or plates CLEAN (that are attached to the body) by polishing them with emery or sandpaper. And these should make for the lessening of those disturbances through the hearing, and the inflammations in the eyesight.

9. Be mindful of the diet that the foods are rather inclined to be alkalin-producing; that is, not too much meat nor white bread.

10. And we will find conditions will improve.

12. (Q) Do I have a leaking heart? (A) Rather the slowing and improper pulsation by the variations in the circulation, by pressures from colon; though these have remained for some time and thus there is felt a gurgling at times in the flow of the circulation between the heart and the liver. This produces quick, short breath, and the change in the pressure of the blood supply. It would be called by some “leaking.” It is rather a pressure, hindering the flow through the large valves - or the connections between liver, heart and lungs.

13. (Q) Then the battery I am using is alright? (A) Alright; except the keeping of those anodes or small plates clean.

• think I have but don’t know. Am expecting to go to the C.C.C. Camp after Xmas. My heart is much better - can sleep on my left side now, and remember it has been out for about fifty years, and I don’t expect it to be right.

R2. 1/6/36 EC’s ltr.: “Hope this finds you still feeling fine. Don’t think you have used the Appliance enough. While perhaps not as often, am sure it would be well to keep it up at regular intervals, for that sets the machinery of the body in motion in the proper way [the Radio-Active Appliance], but without it will soon revert to old ways, and as you say has been a long time getting in that shape and won’t revert at once.” [GD’s note: I think he was referring, in his 12/19/35 letter, to the colonic “apparatus” and not the Appliance, don’t you?]

R3. 7/12/36 Mr. [779]‘s ltr.: “I guess you know that our good friend Mr. [599] died about 2 wks. ago. I think it was Tuesday night, 6/23rd. I didn’t know that he was even sick or I sure would have gone to see him. I saw him almost every week around the cemetery. I think he kind of stayed around there very much. The last I talked with him, about a week or ten days before his death, he told me he wasn’t feeling so good then.”
