1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [637].

2. Now, as we find, conditions are rather serious; yet we would not alter or change those applications that are being made in the present. And if there is the attitude of helpfulness and hopefulness held in the minds and desires of those that are near and dear to this body, [637], there will be the response to that being made.

3. The conditions are too strained for any alterations, and those in charge understand that which is necessary.

4. Pray then, rather, with them.

5. Do that.

R1. 8/21/34 Mrs. [601]‘s letter: “Mrs. [637], who is my aunt by marriage, gave birth to twin boys this past Sat. [8/18/34]. Both children passed on yesterday, and the mother is very ill. She has been running a very high temperature which dropped to almost normal last evening. Rec’d your telegram and we are hoping and praying for her. There is little to say.”

R2. 8/25/34 “The physicians in charge of Mrs. [637] are at a loss as to what is causing the continuous rise of temperature. The temperature fluctuates between 102-104. They have x-rayed her chest and hips (she has severe pains when she moves her legs) without any definite findings.”

R3. 8/26/34 “Mrs. [637] was resting fairly comfortable after a blood transfusion given yesterday afternoon. I sincerely hope she will recover rapidly to continue to be the good stepmother she has been to Mr. [1091]‘s two motherless daughters of 12 and 6.”

R4. 10/14/34 Mrs. [601]‘s letter: “Enclosed please find $5 as first payment on Associate Membership for Mrs. [637]… Mrs. [637] is at her mother’s home at … at which address you can arrange for the reading. I have filled out membership blank as Mrs. [637] was not present at this time. She is eager for this reading and will cooperate with suggestions recommended.”
